The ONLY HW fight worth anything. Period.

Once Sam dispatches Oleg in 2 weeks, we can then have THE fight everyone wants to see. I'd think we could expect it in July sometime?

Would be a great and exciting fight. Sam is more experienced than the extremely greena dn not-ready guy he was the first time he fough Wlad and Wlad is the King of the class. Both guys have the goods to KO the other with Wlad having a huge advantage in technical skills. The fight becomes a bit more even duw to Sam having the better chin and the fact that Wlad seems to have panic attacks when he gets hit, something that hasn't happened now for over 2 years.

Let's HOPE this fight gets done. If Wlad wins this one, he cements himself as the unified champion. If Sam upsets him than we have a whole new story.

    :happy

    You're going to have to!

Earliest I could see this happening would be 2009.

And if Peter doesn't buck his ideas up, it'll be a moot point anyway...he needs to look a lot better against Maskaev.

Wlad already went twelve rounds with Peter and probably doesn't feel is his duty to do it again. As a result, Peter looks for other things such as the WBC Title and it looks likely that they are going to follow separate ways until there's no one left... Since, there are many other fighters in the Division and upsets happen whenever you don't expect them to, it's wise not to expect the rematch at all.

Peter is hopefully going to be KTFO by the hands of either Maskaev or Vitali...once Vitali retires with having won the WBC belt, Wlad is going to unify...

Since their first meeting, Wlad has become a better, more confident boxer. Peter's skills have also improved, but his chin and power have been exposed. If Peter can survive long enough for a rematch, don't expect much.

I'm not sure Peter can make it past Maskaev to be honest. If he gets caught like he did against McCline, he will be KO'd this time. I think Peter is a slight favourite however due to Maskaev's inactivity. But Oleg is much craftier than some give him credit for and has more than adequate defensive skills. Look what he did to Rahman twice who plodded around looking to crack Maskaev's chin. Peter needs to box instead of headhunt or he could likely lose his chance at even bigger fights down the road.

Peter barely survived the Mighty McCline, the same McCline that Wladimir KO'd.

Peter may be the most dangerous opponent for Wladimir, but I don't actually see a great fight on the horizon in the HW division. Having said that, I think it would be interesting to see Wladimir vs. Valuev.

Did anyone see Dan Rafael suggest that Valuev would have defeated WK last weekend? I think he's crazy, but I do believe that bout would generate public interest.

I think Peter would stop Wlad next time around. That's my opinion but I am 100% firm on it. Wlad hasn't been touched in 2 years and I can guarantee Sam would touch him good. In the first fight, when Sam has no business fighting him mind you, he didn't land more than two decent power shots and was able to knock Wlad down 3 times (2 legit, 1 not). If Sam actually lands a big power shot the next time sround, I don't see Wlad handling it well... at all.

Peter by TKO, round 7 or so

I think this and the Valuev/Wlad fight are the best ones out there. A fully trained and prepared Peter, is an extremely dangerous oppenent for anyone in the division. He was also the last fighter to give Wlad serious trouble in the ring, which is not the easiest to do now adays. I think after he destroys a tough fighter in Maskaev, the fans will be desperate to see the best in the division collide again.

Is a fully trained and prepared Peter anything like prime, motivated Lewis or Berbick-Spinks fights prime Tyson? If so the HW division has a new conqueror, then they can send him to Iraq to restore order there.

this fight just wont happen for at least a year. Setting aside "Wlad opponents" and "Vitali opponents" always has this effect. Wlad will not fight the WBC champions until Vitali attempts a comeback.

I think Peter is going to make pretty quick work of Oleg. I hope Oleg gets well paid and think this will be his last fight.

Are you serious? I mean really???

Peter had ZERO right to fight Wlad when he did. WAY TOO EARLY and everyone knows it. He was a very raw fighter with limited skills back then. He still fought a game fight and hurt Wlad with nothing more than glancing blows. He did NOT land any decent power shots.

Now, 3 years later, he is a much better boxer, better jab, better foot work etc. Does he still have flaws?... yep... big ones. Is Wlad clearly the better fighter?... yep.

But to make an assinine statement like you did is just dumb. Sorry pal for hitting you straight between the eyes but you really made an inaccurate statement.
