If you love boxing It's stupid to say that Tyson wasn't all that great and diss him, but it's just as stupid to diss Floyd and say he's not a real fighter, he doesn't fight, he runs...etc just because you don't like his boxingstyle and his personality outside the ring.

Whether you like Floyd or not, the man is very skilled...he is a great boxer and yes he's good for boxing. Look at all these boxingforums. People are constantly talking about Floyd Mayweather jr. Everybody has an opinion about Floyd and all the threads about him are at least 10 pages. It's Floyd, this and Floyd that and blah blah blah blah.

:rofl :rofl :rofl OK that was funny, but Coleman could kick a little ass too, I heard he KO'd Pele Reid in the amateurs, which gives him an automatic win over VITLAY.

Floyd punishes opponets too. Just ask all 38 fighters that tasted that hand speed..lol, and there is a difference between running and manuevering around the ring to not get hit. A cross country high school student is a runner. There isnt a track in a ring. If yall wanna see toe to toe banging....order ufc 81..chuck liddell and wanderlei silva can give you all you need. Again this is the sport of BOXING, not brawling. Boxing is a DISCIPLINED art that is designed to hit and not get hit. A "strategic" battle with your hands. Do trainers train their fighters to go in there and throw punches wildly? No,........ they train there fighters to jab, wear the body down, combinations.

Ok now our arguement has run full circle. :patsch

-You say Floyd is more scientific than Tyson

-I say you shouldnt compare the technicality of fighters with such weight disparities.

-You say you werent refering to this type of technicality, but mental toughness under preasure

-I say that mental toughness is not the definition of a scientific fighter, and give the generaly accepted definition of scientific fighters (see technical).

-You then say that Floyd is the more scientific fighter, again.

So, were you lying when you were refering to Floyd's mental toughness and concentration being what made him the more scientific fighter?

Is this Floyd, Ellerbe, or some guy who lifts his boxing vocabulary from 24-7?

Nope more mentally tough. I never said he wasnt more scientific. You made the excuse you cant compare weight classes, so my other example to show Floyds superiority as a boxer was the fact he can change tactics when one fails, Tyson was simply one gear, if he couldnt bully someone, he was done for.

Excuse? Its plenty valid to argue that speed, reflexes, and movement should not be compared between men who's weight varies by 70-80lbs.

    Thus weight classes.

But of course, if you want to measure them head to head, we can do that. :yep

I guess Mike Tyson was just telling Razor Ruddock he was just going to win:
"You're sweet. I'm going to make sure you kiss me good with those big lips. I'm gonna make you my girlfriend."

Mike Tyson is one of the best fighters who have ever lived and it's ridiculous to say otherwise but Tyson is marked for the after-life for what he has done against Holyfield... Never would Floyd do such an act of psychotic cowardship under pressure to prove the so-called manhood. Yet, it's always refreshing to know that one doesn't stand alone when saying that Floyd's words don't cope with his acts... That rope a dope move doesn't really do anything else but tire his opponent and he does use his legs to avoid the physical confrontation... Then people ask when did that take place and one tries to answer back but as soon as it happens, someone else says that Floyd doesn't fight the way one describes - that he is really the circle of circles and the debate kills itself, what a pity!
