He clearly is defrauding the Scottish public by pretending he is defending a world title. How long can this outrage continue?

First he beats Andreas Evensen (world 61), some Norwiegen whose record was 13-1 and had fought noone.

Now he fights afro-bum Joseph Laryea, world 127, record 14-4.

Obviously the plan is to milk the Scottish public as a series of 'contenders' come to Scotland. Will Burns ever plan anyone wiho is actually ranked top 20?

if he doesnt fight a top fighter like poonsawat or any of the top 10 in his next fight then i would plan on a calzaghe like series of defences...

Stop your bitching about Burns, he gave us FOTY in 2010 with that epic win, so what if he has had a couple softer opponents, it is not as if we are forking out for PPVs to watch them.

2 fighters who both have had less than 20 fights and both are ranked outside world top 50. Sorry stinks of clinging onto a belt German style and fighting muppets so it is retained. In meantime gullible jocks keep paying money to watch Burns.

I usually agree with you but can't on this one.

One easy first defence is grudgingly acceptable, but this fight is a disgrace.

Frank and Ricky ought to be ashamed of themselves taking this fight.

He has the belt and he should be defending it against fighters who have earnt the right to fight for the world title. If he needs more experience he should stand aside and let more deserving fighters fight.

It's warren not Burns. He showed his balls when he was coming up, fighting earl, arthur and Johannson when he was a virtual novice, what does that tell you about him?

He wants the Ring title in a fight against Fana, that's what he's been calling for so it's not like he's planning on an easy reign picking up pay checks. I admit the past two defences have been really poor but Burns is one of the Ballsiest fighters there is.

Why should he not milk it a little or do you think working part time in JJB sports is going to secure him? He has held the title for less than 6 months and is squeezing in two defenses. Give him a little slack. Its not as though he's been pulling this **** for years.

Richard with respect, I'm sure he's not that stars what you think!

The lads done himself proud and outdone almost all expectations after his early career losses. He deserves one more pay day after that hopefully they move him up but it's up to them not ricky
