... in just the third round ... including the first ko, .... and these headbutts made the fight easier for Gvozdyk ... 12:49 13:18 14:50 This content is protected
Don't think it was intentional, neither was Ward's. I've seen Golovkin lead with his head, push his opponent with his head too. All incidental imo.
That Cuban dude took quite a beating. He probably got overrated somewhat after the controversial Pascal loss.
He just wasn't on the level of Gvozdyk, imo you can beat Gvozdyk with pressure, but you need SMART pressure.
I counted at least 15 sharp combos that had WAY more effect than the headbutts there Stretch. Sorry..
I think that without these headbutts, we could have had a real fight .... these headbutts from the "nail", all in the same third round, made the fight a fully one sided affair ...
None of those looked intentional to me. Are you Cuban @Santiago? Because I notice you always have something to say when a Cuban loses or wins.
I saw a very lose defense on displayed by the Cuban. He basically try to wing it with the over right hand. He also looks very muscular, I would question his stamina on the later rounds if he gets there. Gvosdyk showed patience and popped him with precision punches.
All that is true but only after round two, Gonzalez bacame notoriously unpatient after he was nailed, and his discipline lasted after mid third round, thereafter, and after that first ko (headbutt), he was a disaster, and that is the part you remember most .... the headbutts contributed decisively to Gonzalez completelly forgeting his gameplan ...
