    Henry ,you got Denny Moyer correct that he beat 4 world champions,but my guy in mind was a 19 year old sensation. Like a meteor, my guy burnt out quickly...

    It depends what you mean by "champ". They were champs in the same sense that Tyson fought champs from 1986-1987.

    I wish it did. Then we wouldn't have a fight like Maskaev-Okhello called a "world title fight". :verysad

    I know what you mean though. However, Canzeroni, Ross and Armstrong really did make the 1930s a great decade for the little guys. It would have been great to watch even half of these fights live.

    K,I agree about the 1930s fighters as Barney Ross, Tony Canzoneri, Lou Ambers, Jimmy McLarnin, Billy Petrolle, Kid Chocalate,etc. Those babies could FIGHT...

    Wasn't Boardman 20 when he beat Saddler, Carter & DeMarco

    He was born on March 21, 1936 and he fought them after March of 1956.

    Henry,I yield to you. Upon checking his record he was born in 1936,not 1937,making Boardman,20 years of age in 1956. Thanks H.:hi:
