    But the size is not all about height , carnera was huge he was not only very tall but he had giant thick frame. He was much bigger than lennox lewis ,joshua or the klitscko brothers. Carnera could weight 280 pounds of giant frame and pure muscle, lewis was ponderous and overweight at 250

    People talk about Primo to justify older fighter's chances against modern heavies, but from what I've seen, Primo used his length a lot better than his size. Kind of weird since he apparently wrestled a bit. Kept his hands low in a more side-on karatesque stance and pumped that fencer's jab. Dude was pretty stiff and rather plodding. No wonder Louis and Baer had an easy time finding him.

    The Steward style heavy ties up little men and leans on them as soon as they violate that range advantage. Wears them down.

    It was a weak decade, heavyweights started evolving and becoming better schooled after that.

    Exactly. You kill the stamina of a smaller guy if you grab him and put your weight on him

    Not true, show me better schooled heavyweights than Max Schmeling, Jack Sharkey and Joe Louis.

    Schmeling and Sharkey became contenders in the 20's.
    An era that features ;
    Unknown Winston
    Larry Johnson
    Ray Impellittiere
    Don McCorkindale
    Al Ettore
    Eddie Mader
    Jack Peterson
    Ford Smith
    Among its top ten, is not a strong era.

    Those were the stand outs. Prior to Joe Louis, the title seemed to change hands often. Ring Magazine who is very pro Joe Louis ranked the decades. The 1930's came out last. The 1920's not far behind.

    Agreed. Security Guards have it rough. My friend does security at a construction site over in downtown Los Angeles and his main job is to keep homeless people out, which is difficult, since they can get violent and like you said you can’t injure them and in many cases even touch them.

    It would kind of like watching WBC Heavyweight Champ Tyson Fury in the WWE fighting Braun Strowman, they did fight.
