I didn't know that Ken Norton was also an actor

I remember that episode - wish I could post a clip, but that series is hard to find anything on; clips are sparse.

I think I saw Sugar Ray Robinson in a episode of Land of the Giants once. He weren’t playing a boxer but some jazz musician. No great shakes as far as the acting but passable and he was still a good looking guy and still look good in a smart suit even in the late 1960s.

Anyone seen those recent clips of Tyson fighting with Steven Seagal, Van Dam and Ip Man?

Obviously a film has been made, don’t know what it’s called, probably awful, but the clips are worth a little look, they’re on YouTube.

Did anyone else spot a young Roberto Duran sparring with Rocky Balboa in Rocky II? At first I didn’t think it was Duran because Rocky is suppose to be a heavyweight and the two of them looked about the same size but then I realised that, that’s just in the film and in real life Stallone isn’t that much bigger than Duran. I know it was just acting and not real sparring but you could see from the way Duran was causally moving and play fighting with Stallone that there’s a world of difference between an actor or boxing enthusiast like ourselves and a real pro boxer.

I think Stallone said (finally) that he wanted a bona fide actor to play Creed.
You left out many; look at all the ex-fighters in "On the Waterfront".
Jack O'Halloran? Tex Cobb? Patterson had a nice role in a Wild Wild West episode and showed some passible+ acting chops and...got the babe at the end! :)
Ray Robinson was in many TV episodes.
Max Baer/Jersey Joe in Boogie's last movie.
Didn't Jack Palance fight professionally? He'd be the best pick (duh!)
I think too many to mention.
