    Who cares.
    Honestly.
Ali also had 1 first round KO.
And that opponent he KO'd is better then anything Briggs will ever destroy in one round.

Briggs is actually one year older than Vitali and Barrett and 2 years older than Tua and Ruiz. Combine it with his asthma and his stoppage losses in the past and get 3 reasons for retirement. But I don't blame him for wanting another big payday and a chance (very small) to achieve something big.

Fighting opposition worse then Brigg's that is. Big ****ing accomplishment.

They've both fought Lennox Lewis, beyond that Vitali has no one to compare to Foreman, nor Mercer, old in both cases or not.

The fact that Briggs and Fields technically rate above Dempsey and Tyson in this category proves what a worthless record it is.

As for his worthiness as a contender...Briggs is no worthier than Fields. :yep

Lamar Clark had 29 first-round KOs.

Funny you point that out, because in a discussion with a Dempsey fan he brought the argument that Dempsey holds the record for first round KOs. Wonder what he felt when The Cannon now holds that greatness-elevating record.

As for the latter statement... who knows. :yep Might be a decent scrap.

Christ, Louie Monaco was a buffed dude, but also a famous loser to any decent heavyweight of the 1990s and early 21st century........ How many losses does Monaco have on his record now? Last I checked it was near a million or so...... The poor ******* just couldn't fight.....

I remember when Monaco fouled Buster Douglas after round 1 and was DQ'd...... I used to have that on tape....... I prolly still do in a box........

Peter McNeely? Not worth discussing anymore..... I last saw Peter McNeely getting stopped by Butterbean in round 1 on ESPN about 7 or 8 yrs ago......

All of Briggs & Fields 1st round KO's are against bums, they are worthless and void compared to Tyson's.

For sheer quality of 1st round KO's Tyson takes it by a country mile, with the likes of: Marvis Frazier, Lou Savarese, Carl Williams, Henry Tillman, Alex Stewart & Michael Spinks all obliterated within a single round.

Which goes to prove why this is a pointless statistic.

According to Boxrec, Peter Maher had 48. Who knows how many of those fights were real, or how many weren't actually at heavyweight, but just throwing it out there.
