Cotto's gameplan was great, he made it an ugly and a very physical fight .Which can all be attributed to his new trainer. But Mayweather easily won 9 rounds so I wouldnt really say he struggled, but it was more competitive than we all thought it would be.

I have to rewatch to give you exact rounds but there was stretch in the fight I think 7-9 where Cotto won every round, even on Ledermans card, and was bullyin Mayweather. Cotto also clearly won the 3rd and the 2nd was very close. Floyd pulled away in the Championship rounds but this was far from a 118-110 easy days work as terrible scoring and Floyd fans have clearly tried to paint it... In reading thru the threads the Floyd fans that say Cotto barely won 3 rounds all have him winning different rounds. Some say 6-7 and 9 others say 2-3 and 6, And some say 3 and 10 smh... It just goes to show how much people let their fandom cloud their judgement.

Well i certainly disagree with you.

    I scored it 119-109.

I found it hard to give Cotto any rounds.

Even on the rounds that Mayweather took off, Cotto was ineffective. And was countered numerous times by Mayweather.

    119-109, 118-110, 117-111 - all okay by me.

    But stil, easy work.

Tough fight, I'll give you that. But easy work nonetheless.

I wanted Cotto to win and I had a hard time giving him 3-4 rounds. He did well but he was losing rounds decisively.

This post is my point exactly... Your hero, the man who took the punches and was in the fight, disagrees with you. Smh

    My hero?

I just post based on my observation.

    Tough fight, indeed.

But in terms of rounds, it's hard to give Cotto more than 2.

Doesn't mean he wasn't in there trying his heart out for every round though.

    Much respect for Cotto.

Don't let your personal bias for Cotto jump to conclusions about my opinion on Mayweather.

Homie you called the fight easy work... Mayweather, who many thought lost a tough fight to Castillo, and had a very close tough fight with Hoya, called it his toughest fight ever... No need to further a discussion with you.

    Alright. Whatever.

We all have different opinions, and I respect yours.

    But a tough fight doesn't = a close fight.

I see Cotto winning a max of 2 rounds.

    End of our discussion.

    Maybe in the future. :good

Floyd choose to fight cotto like that it could of been so much easier for him if he boxed from the outside but he was masterful

No matter what happens in a fight involving Mayweather, there will always be those who dislike him/support the opponent that have something negative to say.

See the funny thing to me regardless of however rounds Cotto won is the people that don't want to give Cotto any credit for the way the fight was fought.

Oh yeah floyd wanted it that way.

Floyd wanted a bloody nose and that's why it happened.

Floyd wanted to get punched it the mouth so he let it happen.

How bout giving Miguel some credit for cutting of the ring and doing what he had to do to keep Mayweather from the center of the ring a lot of the times and making it a tough fight.
