I came here 1st to find out results and responses and 1st thought was with all the PED crap Hopkins must of won in style. Then it was all about how Canada is corrupt so thought he must of been robbed then i find out it was a bloody draw. What the hell happened? It sounds to me like some people, not on this site but in general had forgot what a great clever boxer Hopkins is and Pascal may seem like a top level fighter but who has he ever fought? There is a gulf between the level of opposition Pascal has fought on his rise to the top and where people like Hopkins have been plyin their trade for years. And you dont see it till you put these fighters together in 1 ring to fight. Ive seen it before, Hopkins v Pavlik, Calzaghe v Lacy. Not saying it was as 1 sided as those but nobody really saw what was guna happen till it happened. But thats providing it was a criminal result most people on here are claiming it was cuz i trust your opinions. I
Hopkins won 9 rounds to 3 at worst. Pascal had 2 flash Knockdowns on BHOP but he was never hurt or even in trouble. Hopkins swept the entire second half of the fight and every punch stat throwing more, landing more and higher percentage. Hopkins won the fight.
Hopkins got knocked down in rounds 1 and 3, both were rounds that he was winning. Hopkins was the aggressor throwing and landing more shots every round but Pascal would land the flashy shots every now and then. The crowd noise is a good indicator of what how the fight went. Loud and crazy for the first 3 or 4 rounds but quiet for the 2nd half of the fight except to cheer out Pascal for desperate encouragement.
I'm shocked by this result! By all accounts the draw was a robbery... if so, the people who saw this fight should never let that go. Get the truth out there!

I fell asleep by the 2nd round and missed the fight ... ****. I had predicted a B-Hop points win as I felt he was just going to be too clever and cagey for Pascal at this stage. Reading the RBR in the Brit forum (and they tend to score it right in there) it sounds like Hopkins is on the end of another bad decision. Two home town results in the one night. I'll need to find a download or youtube of this fight to catch up.
Hopkins schooled him from round 4 and on. You could see pascal face after the bell he knew he lost. I predicted hopkins would school him and that is exactly what he did in that ring.
LOL, Hopkins knockdown was a bullrush/headbutt to the head which caused Pascal to hit the canvas. Now that was very much illegal. Pascal's first knockdown you can see Hopkins jump in, Pascal hit him with a left which caused Hopkins to try and hold, then pascal turned and fired off another left and then the right while Hopkins was still facing him. Hopkins trying to clinch unfortunately put him in the position for the right to land to the back side of the head. Save the GIF and watch in Media Player Classic. Also Pascal looked good in the first three/four rounds. He was finding a way to land some clean right hands moving around then jumping in. Hopkins was not easily beating him in the first three/four rounds, that's bull****.
