I'm disappointed in Mayweather and how he drained Canelo. Why are you disappointed at Canelo? He gave Mayweather his closest fight in years and didn't complain at all despite the deck being stacked against him. But the fact that this fight changed your mind about him shows why it is so important for MegaFights like this to be fought at the normal weight.

He was outclassed for sure, but when you think about anybody not named Floyd mayweather at 154, or the guys up at 160, I think he does pretty well and beats most/all of them....still a canelo fan

He didn't drain **** hater. Canelo's stamina was the best it's ever looked he came to win but just got a sobering dose of reality against a master boxer.

I was thinking the same. I expected a much closer fight. Canelo's stock has to drop. Cotto, Guerrero and heck even Mosley looked better than Canelo. This has to be the worst outcome scenario for Canelo. Nobody would buy a rematch that's for sure.

    rep?

just wait and see what happens to canleo when he looks ordinary, which is what he is, against james, lara, vanes, rosado and molina.

    hes 5'7"

he has short legs which results in his bad footwork

he has no real one punch power in either hand

he has low output(400-500 punches a fight)

you cant have much of a rep when you are dealing with these types of limitations.

hes a contender in two years at 154 and a gatekeeper at 160.

hell never fight 160 becasue gbp knows what they have and its not much for a 154.

if canelo could make 147 he would have great success

as for being a comedian werent you the guy running around here yelling on how canelo was going to beat floyd while i was the guy running around here offereing lifetime esb ban bets on howfloyd was going to beat canelo?

now i can throw out a childish emoticon out there but we both know thats not really necessary, right?

Not really since it was a split decision, and since the rematch is already signed, they'll make a case that Canelo was close to victory.
Remember the casual boxing fan is the majority spectator.

Nope, I definitely never made any bold predictions that Canelo was going beat Floyd. TBH, I didn't really think Canelo would win while being so weight drained. At 154, it still might have been about 50/50, and would have taken a great fight by Canelo to eek out a decision or possibly stop FMJ. But I do think at 154 it's a toss up fight. At 152 FMJ had a significant advantage because Canelo wasn't 100%, wasn't at his best. Considering he was the lineal 154 lb champ, it is utterly absurd that there was a catchweight.

Why? Canelo has alot more time to develop as a fighter. He's the best besides Floyd at JMW for sure. Canelo will be P4P no1 when Mayweather hangs them up.
