He knows when it is a lost cause in the situation he is in, he is not conceited enough to pretend to be a tough guy when there is no chance to turn it around.
I think most of us thought he wouldn't tap because he has shown such amazing resiliency in many of his fights. But he's human. Plain and simple.
He wouldn't tap if he knew there is the slightest chance of escaping, but when he knows there is no hope then he won't pretend to be a badass. I am willing to bet if he broke his hand, ribs or an arm but have a chance to still fight and win then he would do so. A man should know when he is beat and when he can tough it out to win.
His head was the color of an eggplant, grow up dude. I really hope this thread wasn't made in sarcasm. He knew it was over and he couldn't get out of it.
thankfully...he used his brain & didn't let his pride get in the way...werdum breaking his arm would've been horrible (and potentially ruin the rest of his career as a fighter). He did the right thing.
Ever been caught in a triangle? It's ****ing intolerable, honestly. I can't believe he held out that long, considering Werdum's strength and technique. Also, why would Fedor let his arm get broken then have to wait a long time for a rematch whereas now he can get one right away?
It's disrespectful to your team and your opponent if it's obvious you are beat and don't tap, there is no honour in not tapping it is just stupidity.
