I do not like Tyson Fury, when he goes bye bye that will be a good day for boxing.

When Fury goes bye bye that will be a good day for boxing. He's not interested in fighting Usyk for undisputed. Probably because he knows that Usyk will thrash him like a screen door in a tornado. He has few redeeming qualities. I used to find him funny and amusing, but it's gotten stale. I think he needs a therapist and psych eval.

Neither does the whole forum, minus @miniq and maybe a few others.

It's taken you this long to come to that conclusion? I've disliked him long before he beat Wlad, and when that happened, my hatred for him quadrupled. Not to mention, his fanboys are perhaps the P4P most sickening, and that's saying a lot. Regardless.... a rare post of yours I agree with. Good job!

By the way, I tweaked the title, hopefully to prevent it from being deleted, because you're making a cogent point.

It would be better for HW boxing for Fury to **** off. Not even kidding. Almost no redeeming qualities.

He lost all respect from the boxing world when he shamelessly ducked Usyk.

Well, he was useful for various reasons, but became corrupt with money/fame like many before him.
    He wasn't always like this.
From his 'persona' point of view, let's also remember the good times, The Mr Sunglasses Chubby Checker presser with Johnson, the Batman entrance with Wlad plus singing Aerosmith after winning while Wlad looked suicide in the eyes, the trash talk with Team USS Cunningham, the pressers with David Haye.
Tyson Fury did some good and righteous work back then.

I think he is very soon for a cocaine overdose...another stay in rehab...another PEDs bust...a crashed car...something life altering. I don't wish him ill on personal level and hope he makes it out...just that he leaves the sport forever and for good.

Not a fan of his but he did beat Wlad and got 2 big wins on Wilder

I have a feeling hes a guy who disappoints until he gets a big win

I'm waiting to see what he does since he hasn't announced yet. I don't like the games but he may still face a top guy in 2023. If it's anything less than a top 5 guy I'm gonna call bull****

Only time he really ever had the fans behind him was when he was fighting Wilder. He basically had to fight a trilogy with the one fighter in the whole division that was even more unlikeable than him so he could be seen as the hero vs Wilder's villain.

He fought a stinker of a fight to win the belts off Wlad, out boring the most boring champion at heavyweight, then spewed forth a homophobic, misogynistic, religious rant to make sure fans never took to him.

Then got done for PED's, lied about it, pretending he could still fight Wlad despite being suspended by UKAD, then instead of rematching Wilder like everyone wanted signed a deal with ESPN to delay the rematch, then after finally beating Wilder in the rematch signed to fight AJ only to pull out because he was still knowingly obligated to fight Wilder in the 3rd fight.

Now he's ducking Usyk and doesn't seem likely to be fighting anytime soon. Fact is he's always been an outsider, never really cared what the fans wanted, I doubt he even knows why he does half the things he does. Mentally he's probably the most messed up champion since his name sake Mike Tyson.

The sport may very well do better without him on top. But love him or hate him, you can't ignore him and he did make the division more interesting, at least when he was actually fighting. Now he's ironically probably retired but refuses to make it official and probably won't until he's stripped of the belt. I honestly can't see him fighting again in the near future, nothing suggests he's mentally in the right place to fight right now. But then again the man is so unpredictable he could sign the Usyk fight tomorrow, trying to figure out what he'll do next is just pointless.

All Fury has to do to be on top of the boxing world is fight 3 times a year and fight the other top guys. Instead we get endless coke-fuelled garbage rants and proposals of joke fights with guys that aren't fit to tie his shoelaces. I hope he fights Ngannou and gets knocked TF out. A fitting end to his career.
