I don't believe Ward is past his prime.

Unless of course he's harboring an injury that prevents him from pushing himself to the limits.

If that's the case, then you can't be 100% unless you are able to restore yourself back to full health.

He certainly didn't look past it in his last fight. I thought he did an excellent job at attacking without taking anything in return.

Loss of foot speed is more than obvious. Did not gain any power moving up in weight. Nowhere as sharp as the Super Six days. He is definitely over the hill.

He's fine. People are either saying it to cover their bases if he loses, or to convince themselves kovalev will definitely win.

Ward fans are reluctant to admit it but it's undeniable, his best days are behind him. Barrera fight revealed it and Brand fight cemented it.

Lazar, age 32 is not an impossible age to win in this sport. It's happened more than enough times. It's up to Ward to stay in shape.

I am not arguing his age, but what we've all seen in the ring in his last two fights. Whether it's layoff or age or else, he isn't the same Andre Ward of the old.

If he doesn't pull out of the fight I think he might get seriously hurt.

I wouldn't say Ward is past his prime but I believe he was better at 168.

I don't think it even matters anyway, there's no way he declined so much that it becomes much of a factor in the fight.

He's 32 with a defensive style (which carries better with age) and he's younger than the guy he's fighting. At 32, guys like Mayweather and Rigo looked better than ever and they're smaller men.

Maybe he lacks match sharpness (which wouldn't make him past his prime anyway, that can be regained) or maybe going a weight up slows him down a little. It's not a big deal either way.

Past prime doesn't mean shot. Ward still has good skill and sharpness. Just less than he had. That makes him past his prime.

Honestly, I think it really just depends on how hard Ward can push himself. If Ward is in anyway hindered by his injuries, than he is certainly past his prime.

Injuries can make or break you. You can push through injuries, but it might have consequences down the road.

Ward seems to have mentally checked out of the sport. He wants a final payday.

How much will he get, $2m?

Funny thing is, he might still school Kova!

It's hard to say. I think for the Kovalev fight, we'll see the best Ward of age 32. Is he past it, maybe a little...but I still think he will get better as a fighter.

I wouldn't describe him as past prime either.
