Ricky Hatton was not knocked out cold tonight because his trainer did a poor job at preparing him for May 2nd.

Manny Pacquiao won tonight because he was a much more complete fighter than his opponent.

I realise Mayweather Sr is going to catch some flack for all of the talking he did, but that is how he deals with these build ups to big fights.

What did you want Floyd to say? My fighter is going to get knocked out, but I'll pick up a big pay day regardless?

Let's attribute this victory to Manny's greatness, not Mayweather's shortcomings as a trainer.

P.S Had Roach trained Hatton for this fight, the same result.

dont blame floyed snr but he just told hatton to retire.

snr says "I would suggest he retire," he said. "At the end of the day it's his decision."

"He tried twice. He failed twice. He lost to my son and to lose to someone below that, it's time to leave the ring.

"He made a good profit. Sometimes you have to go when your prime is still there."

Can't blame floyd snr for saying these things he's just being a good man and looking out for his fighter's well being.

Hatton was KTFO early cuz Manny didnt carry him for a few rounds like Mayweather did. Hatton is no where near their level.

The better student won the fight.

His vaunted speed and power overshadow what a great student Pacquiao is. Just look how far he's taken his craft since the Ledwaba fight. At the end of the day, Hatton didn't/couldn't apply the head movement and defense Floyd taught him.

Manny is proof that fighters can continue to learn well into their careers if they are humble and receptive to being taught. For proof, look no further than the history of Manny's right hand vs. the history of Oscar's right hand.

The result was nothing to do with Floyd. How could it be when Hatton obviously resorted to type and ignored his months of training.

i cant see floyd snr ever wanting anything to do with hatton ever again, whats the point if the fighter dont listen.

then again he does get paid handsomely by hatton, hahaha .
