I don't consider any modern Heavyweight below 6'5'' as a serious threat.

Historically there is nothing to support that rather sweeping claim.

This is one of the reasons I'll be interested to see Usyk and some other Cruisers move up. This question might get answered then.

Put Ortiz and Povetkin vs Wilder, and I would favor both "little" guys.

If the weight is the same

    Short fighters > tall fighters

There's just too many advantages of being short if you know how to use them.

The WBC has been protecting Wilder from Povetkin for a long time now, Povetkin is only 6 feet 2 inches tall.......Wilder is afraid of him and everyone knows it................

It's all about the referee. If he lets the taller guy to hold, hug and push down the shorter fighter, ofc the shorter fighter would never win. ( Klitschko vs Povetkin, Haye are some examples ) Anyone from 6,2 above is pretty competitive in the heavyweights.

WTH, 153.5 lb dude doing 425!!!
doing a pause with 315 to 385, this kid is strong as I've ever seen. I've never seen anyone under 175 doing even 315 blast, never mind a pause.

makes you wonder, why he's so strong

like, what are all these advantages ? height and reach are advantages then you add it weight which at hw it's most likely going to be the taller and longer fighter is the heavier.

good big man usually beats good little man, can great big man should be able to beat a great little man.

size matters, fyi: talent matters too

    Give the OP a break.
    He's simply talking sense.
That's why Valuev was the greatest fighter of all time.

I was JUST about to serve him the Valuev card!

In other news, 5'4 Khurtsidze somehow overcame his handicap to absolutely destroy 6 ft Douglas.

Somebody ought to tell Wilder about the immense advantage that he enjoys over Povetkin :cool1:
