For someone who loves fighting he doesn't do it very often. Wlad has fought nearly twice as many fights as Tiresome.

Life's too short for grown men to feel any kind of distain towards a ring warrior. Please I implore you to soften your hearts.

Miniq I think you're great, you post some funny stuff and I think it's enjoyable. There are lots of different types of folks on these forums and there are always going to be those with no sense of humor and take everything way too seriously.

Having said that, as a long time boxing fan I understand the frustration of what is going on with Fury, I am very frustrated myself. Early on he was really interested in fighting, defeating Klitschko and looking like the greatest heavyweight in quite a while, and we all saw him go from a clown who punched himself in the face, all the way to the heavyweight championship and recognition as possibly the greatest heavyweight since Lewis.

The most frustrating part is we'll never know how great Tyson Fury could truly have been, in part because of the lack of great competition in these days, but mostly due to his increasingly uncaring attitude towards boxing.

Fury's greatness does not lie with what he hasn't done or failed to achieve but what he can and does do when the moment calls for it. Fury will be remembered as the man who gets up when it's needed. He's the ultimate and will prove it again with Usyk. And with that it will be it curtains and that ending for me is plenty enough, I love this man with every grain of my soul. I realize he will probably continue to a slow demise but that doesn't discredit what has already been done.

I am not trying to discredit Fury, he has obviously achieved supreme heights ( no pun intended) in the heavyweight division, and after he destroys Usyk he will be remembered as the greatest heavyweight since Lennox Lewis in my opinion.

Keep the faith brother! Although I want Usyk to win, I can't deny what I feel in the pit of my stomach.

Complete bull**** saying what he thinks sounds cool and will get him more followers and admirers.

No one like's getting punched in the face. Only a ****ing idiot would. Then again that pretty much explains everything.

That batty-boy can't function without hash browns, eggs, muffins, sausages, muffins ( and all of that on top of muffins ) smothered in butter and wrapped in deep frid bacon with the fat on.

Usyk would have made him his *****.

No one likes getting punched in the face but that's what makes fighting. The thrill. The danger. Mano a Mano. The competition element. The money. The glory. The fame. All great but is that what makes these guys tick? Fury literally only gets up for the biggest possible challenges and even they barely get him going. Which is why he's so good, calm as a cucumber. A fight to him is nothing meanwhile AJ and Wilder are having their panic attacks.

    Bollocks.

Sorry mate, you don't get to handwave away Fury's limited resume that easily.

Yes, the Wlad win is a really good career highlight, one most fighters would kill for - and one they'd take full credit for regardless of how they did it or what state he was (or wasn't) in...

But after that it's limited - he hadn't done much more before he retired/hid from the rematch. Then he's come back and faced a hypejob, a broken shell and not much else worth mentioning - and to date has managed to not wind up in the ring with the best fighter in the division or the most proven in the division.

Highlights are great (and Wlad really is), but depth is what confirms greatness and Fury just doesn't have the depth to go into the ATG conversation.

    Fair play.

You’ve gotta admire a fighter who talks the talk and then walks the walk.....AWAY from his greatest challenge. That takes some huge balls.

Miniq, I enjoy your posts. So I wish I had something more positive to say(!)
However ... Fury says so many contradictory words. And seems to change his mind on things from one day to the next. So, more than most fighters I can think of, he needs to be judged by his action not his words.
The other thing that struck me was, even if he means what he says this time, I'm not sure his body will hold up that much longer - if he's not in steep decline already.

This quote is from Fury in 2011 not in a manic or depressive episode.
