Or an honest post by a neutral observer. I couldnt give a **** about Khan or your boy if the truth be told, BUT I did say years ago here after Khan beat Limond that Khan would go onto become a superstar. Many times infact.
& now he has, & your boy aint in his league & never will be. Sorry to break the news to you SBW!

McCloskey had rabbit in the headlights syndrome, just like Audley against Haye. Time to move on, just like Audly has done instead of blaming everyone & anyone for their utter abject failure, like team McCloskey are doing.
Just wish they would man up, & admit Khan was the better man than paul who is a good fighter IMO, just not in Khans league.

For you to call it "a one sided beating" in which McCloskey quit in the ring tells me all I need to know about your opinions Dunk.

I never said McCloskey was in Khans class, in fact before the fight I was praying that he wouldnt get blown away early and predicted that Khan would win a points decision. For the record I didnt score a single round to McCloskey but it is simply ******ed to say it was on the end of a beating of any description!

Guys.. can we not knock Eddie Hearn too much on this forum right now. If he refuses Jeff for the last Prizefighter slot then criticise the **** out of him but until then.. shhh ;) Thanks.

I don't get this thread. He's a fighter highly ranked by the WBA and is taking on another fighter who is highly ranked by the WBA. The WBA interim title is on the line and tickets for the fight will sell well and it will also sell on Sky Sports. Obviously the Khan factor will pull in a lot of casuals, however as many independent observers have said (including Khan) it's a decent scrap as and in itself.

Has McCloskey moved on - IMO yes, but I'm sure it still knaws at him sufficiently to motivate him to keep going.

Will it get McCloskey a rematch - Short answer - No, however a win over Prescott would get him closer to fighting for a world title, the regular WBA title or any other title out there but it's most likely the winner will fight Guerroro or Maidana for the regular title. I don't believe he's doing this to specifically get at Khan, he's doing it to raise his profile and get closer to a real world title.

Would he face Khan again if given the opportunity - Of course he would.
