At this day and age it’s impossible to predict anyone staying in permanent retirement. Christ even Oliver McCall came back when he was what ? 60 ? It’s almost MORE rare now for a fighter to stay retired than otherwise.

Except me. I not only told everyone it was going to be a great fight, I told everyone why. The points everyone else was discussing the day after the fight, I was talking about weeks before.

I think he'll fight Wilder to cross him off the bucket list. Usyk barely fought anyone in his career so the midlife crisis that pulls many champs out of retirement is going to hit him harder if it hasn't already.

I think Usyk had no interest in fighting the best HW's in the division but regardless I don't think he's happy with the way things turned out this past year. I think he was going for the Parker, Wilder, Ruiz set and that plan got blown up when Parker lost to Wardley.
