    AA = trouble for Pavlik

    IMO Abraham has better one-punch power but has a low wokrate.

    Pavlik on the other hand has not that much one-punch power but a very high workrate for a middleweight - most of his KOs happened on pure accumulation with hard punches...

    The two most highly ranked opponents fight each other for a shot at the champion. Technically that is great. But guys often wants no part of that.

    Bute had to fight #11 Bika to get a shot at Berrio.

    Inkin, Froch, Braehmer, etc... all turned down the fight against Bute.

    Same is happening to Tsypko.

    Inkin, Froch, Braehmer, etc... cant or wont take the fight. So he is fighting the next guy.... Stieglitz.

    I think the solution for that would be to ban a fighter from the top15 for X period of time if he refuses to take part in the title eliminator.

    I agree with your disagreement on Boo's pov. And I couldn't well get it about that promotional stroke of genius either... Does that mean it's promotionally inteligent from Abraham's management, from Top Rank along with the Germans or that the IBF is made with both Promotinal groups?... Anyway, Arthur has definitely built a big punch at this weight-class the way Elcock was virtually out from that left hook that finished up a well-timed attack. Just that I don't know if it's smart to stand str8 up, economical and block Kelly's punches until that opening presents to him. I've once said and was logically (fairly) hammered by the likes of jetsky that Abraham would embarass Pavlik technically but I would get embarassed if Abraham simply doesn't move his body from the waist-band up - it almost seems that Arthur doesn't know what angles are used for in the game.

    sometimes the higher ranked guys aren't ready to risk a loss against another high ranked guy and turn down the eliminator fight.

    Okay -- I hardly ever resort to the worn out adage that "styles make fights," but in the case of Pavlik vs Abraham it's true. Pavlik is a stylistic nightmare for Abraham. When AA goes into his defensive shell in the corner, Pavlik will will just beat his arms and shoulders to a pulp, and consistently split that Winky-Patterson guard with uppercuts. While AA is working hard for about 30-45 seconds of each round, Pavlik will be thowing his usual 80-100 punches per round, and maintaining the usual 40-50% connect rate. Abraham hits REALLY hard, and he's double tough, but there is little chance that a guy with his height and reach disadvantage would ever get inside Pavlik's jab. In addition I don't know how much weight training Abraham does, but he looks like he could back off the weight training and make 154. Pavlik on the other hand has the frame of a LHW. How that kid makes 160 is a mystery to me. Abraham beats every other middleweight out there except Pavlik and Taylor. JT/Abraham is a pick-em fight. Abraham gets KTFO against Pavlik.
