I don't get why Wilder isn't doing everything possible to get the AJ fight

Regardless of the split, it's the most money he can possibly get in his career. If he plays around, is forced to take another fight whether it be Whyte or Chisora etc and loses, he has nothing !

This isn't like May v Pac where there was still interest 5 years past when it should have happened because of their legendary names

Wilder only has any leverage right now because it has the 0 and he has the belts. If he loses them, he has nothing !

GREED has been the undoing of many a fighter

He loves the limelight and he knows if he gets KO'd by AJ he drops out of it. No more talk of Wilder. That is why he finds ways to avoid getting in the ring with AJ. But he desperately wants the megafight money and that will eventually seal the deal. It will happen and AJ will stop him.

This is Wilder. He could have been in with Wlad, Povetkin, Whyte and now Joshua, but he hasn't. Who's fault is that? It has to be on him for not taking those fights or trying to make the fights happen.

It doesn’t help that he has 3 or 4 managers.
There’s a big cake to cut.

Not BELTS, just BELT. And im afraid the WBC is just a cartoon version of what it once was. And he was gifted that belt too. Im afraid Deontay has spent his career getting rather than earning and now its time to earn he wants to still just be given.

Mentioning Joshua's name is getting him more interviews, air time, commercials playing it well wilder, plan working a treat, don't fight just use the name.

If Wilder had a bigger pair and took chances he could of had a really decent resume (and a few loses) by now

Look at the 4 known names who fought last night, look at Joshua v Povetkin, these are are big time players in the heavyweight division and in one sense or another their names can be linked, Whyte fought Joshua, Povetkin fought Takkam, Chisora fought Whyte, Povetkin is fighting Joshua and so on and so on. Wilders name cant be linked to any of these names and yet Wilder has more fights under his belt, what has he been doing?

I don't get why Hearns isn't doing everything he can to get the Wilder fight. After all , he is the guy who is steering the ship yet still hasn't budged on "take -it -or -leave -it flat fee offer" he issued Wilder last year.

If Hearn really wants Wilder for Joshua after Povetkin , why does he refuse to give Wilder what he wants which is a percentage cut of the total revenue the fight will generate?

just for this situation to arise in its self is bad management
1.5 kill pay days then manager gets 10% cut lol that 30- 40% gone for starters then trainers ,camp , tax
That fifteen flat fee ten times Wilders highest pay check don't seem that unreasonable all of a sudden

He strikes me as very, very stupid. So I think it's possible that he could find reasonable reasons in his own head for not pursuing it. I don't believe he is scared.

I think he's probably doing better than people think. While Joshua will be by far his biggest purse I think he must have quite decent corporate backing in the States.
