i was gonna make a thread about how fury throws better combos than wlad, but, i decided to lay off. but, it is quite sad that the most dominate hw of this decade only throws 3 types of punches when there r others. incredible. i cant watch wlad fight. he kills me LOL he could finish thompson in 2 but he paws him to death for 6 rounds until he lands a right hand

Wlad can't win.

Firstly it's a mandatory that he himself admitted struggling to get up for. He then goes out more aggressively than normal and finishes him earlier and people still slate him.

Yes Thompson isn't an ATG but he is the kind of fighter who is awkward to fight especially when he is fighting negatively.

And I keep hearing Lewis's era being described as strong and so much better than this. Listen take away a on the slide Holyfield and a shot to **** Tyson and who are the great fighters on his resume? Grant?, Mavrovic?, Botha?

Lewis is an ATG in his own right but lets keep to the truth the only thing that's so much different in this era is there are no Yank fighters. And it's a shame that the 2 most dominant fighters will never fight each other.

 

Nobody is slating him. They are slating his stalkers who are proclaiming a second win over a 40 year old Thompson is some sort of ATG worthy acheivement.

Who were all very good contenders at the time, if you disagree you can't have actually been watching boxing in the 90s.

Vitali Klitschko by stoppage when he himself was faded

He also stopped the two men who previously beat him, and has the distinction of being one of the few boxers to beat every man he ever faced, in doing so he demonstrated a wide array of strategies of skills from mixng it up to boxing to walking opponents down.

There's no comparison with that, and your best win is between going 12 rounds with fat Sam Peter and 12 rounds with cruiserweight David Haye

Wlad did exactly what he had to do and should neither be slated nor commended on such. It was a solid performance over an over-matched journeyman, nothing more than that.

Tua, Golota, Mercer, Bruno, Ruddock, Briggs, Rahman, Vitali...

Wlad's resume isn't ****, but it isn't a patch on Lennox's either.
