I don't hate Mayweather but it DOES seem that he has been a cherrypicker...

I have respect for all fighters. What they go through is incredable. From the P4P entrants in world title contests. To the lowly four round pug who ain't won a fight in his life. They all give us a WHOLE LOT

BUT, Mayweather going around saying he's the greatest of all times, the best ever, when he hasn't fought the best available fighters. Gone on convienient sabbaticals of anything up to two years at a time?! I just ask that people sift through the bull**** and look at the evidence. He has consistently NOT fought the best guy in each division in which he has claimed a belt.*

*With the notable exception of the 130lbs division, where floyd was at his very best.

After 130lbs it was always in floyds favour. ALWAYS!!! He had Diego Corrales emaciate himself to get to a stupid weight he had outgrown long before. Can you imagine being as tall as DC and as long limbed and being made to drain yourself to 135 when you walk around at 160? That weight was OVER for him at that stage. Thus the multiple KD's the exhaustive showing etc etc..

The first Castillo fight was a loss. A close fight that went against JLC, but it shouldnt of. He jus plain won it. The rematch was a clean win but JCM lost that first fight.

Fighting folks like Henry Bruseles is just silly. Not mandated. Jus made for him to look good. Corley wasnt needed either. Gatti WAS the champion BUT NOWHERE NEAR the real champ at 140lbs. Then fights a Zab Judah that had just been beaten by Baldomir?! Then and only then would he face the mighty Baldomir! lol :rofl Come on man...

He goes tooth and nail with his most dangerous guy yet, a past it De La Hoya who still gives him fits. Then he has himself a blatent piece of biased refereeing when he has Joe 'Im unfair and bought' Cortez do 33% of the fighting for him when he battles Ricky Hatton. Who fought an honest fight that night it hast to be said.

    2 years later...

He returns to fight a bloated Juan Manuel Marquez, still comes over the stipulated weight, completely dwarfs the guy and just jabs him silly. Marquez has to let it happen or no-one gets paid. And Marquez is a warrior. Then after another exorbitant amount of time passes he signs up to fight an ancient guy he refused to fight back in the day that is Suger Shane Mosley, who would of handed his ass to him in his prime. AND, gets rocked to his holy bootheels by him. Now, im not knocking him for it, this could happen to anyone. But then the sucker punching of Ortiz was the icing on the cake for me. Granted Oritiz kicked it off by planting the nut on him, but what FM did was far worse. And a real *****-like quality.

I remember reading about true gentleman great named Gene Tunney. He was boxing a man called Tom Heeney and the mans eyelid got turned in on itself during a fairly heated round. Tunney stood off and allowed the injury to be attended to before boxing like a TRUE sportsman and stopping his man in the 11th. Mayweather to me, is a thug and a loud mouthed bullyboy. I hope Cotto knocks his block off. Sorry to rant, jus this bull**** blindness about his achevments jus pisses me off. There are tonnes of fighters who were far better than Mayweather ever was or will be....:bbb

PS. PACman is just as bad.

Who doesn't cherry pick? Chavez Jr is a cherry picker too, he's pricing outself out of the Martinez fight.

Bob arum/Pacquiao = Same thing, he just does it less subtlely by having all of Pacquiao's opponents drained.

The same bloated Marquez who looked pretty good against you know who a few short months ago.

    Very biased perspective IMO

This was a shitty terrible post from an idiot troll and an obvious Floyd hater. First off, the corrales fight was at 130, not 135 idiot. Floyd was the underdog, and Corrales fought several times more at that weight after the Mayweathr fight. Second of all, your complainign him about the him fighting judah and baldomir but they were legitimate, lineal champs of the division.

He clearly outboxed DLH and the fight was scored much closer than it should have been. He whipped Hatton's ass and KOed him and beat him up on the inside which Hatton gave credit too.

Shane Mosley ducked Floyd and when they did finally fight, it was a fight everyone was calling for and saying shane would knock Floyd out. He didn't become old until after he got schooled.

The gene tunney example was a **** example. Mayweather knocked out a guy with punches during the round of a boxing match. Thats the object of the sport.

:good He's a fraudenlent ******* who constantly refuses to test himself. He's got more holes in his resume then swiss cheese.

I dont know how you can say "Pacquiao is just as bad." You have to really use some skewed logic to find any blatant cherry picking on pacs resume. Nobody can name any guys he ducked. The best Ive seen people come up with are names like Guzman and Raheem :patsch

urm, weight drained De La Hoya for one, shot-to-**** hatton, and other home seasoning aspects of the roach-pac teamwork. Its pretty bad what they are doing sometimes like...

Ok , they didnt cherry pick Hoya. Hoya went after Pacquiao. That fight was seen as a ridiculous mismatch in Oscar's favor. Were you around then?

Since when was Hatton shot to ****? Hatton was still the man at 140 and just got done mauling Pauli Malignaggi. That was seen as a very legitimate fight at the time for Pacquiao.

Let me ask you something, if not Hoya, Cotto , Hatton (etc) , who else should he have fought? Who were the bigger threats?
