I don't know how Ali managed to make it through this fight.

Which fight? If you're referring to the 15th round of FOTC then join the club. He got caught by 3-4 flush Frazier left hooks against the ropes after the initial knockdown and many still wonder how he stayed conscious.

One thing Ali rarely gets full credit for is how freaking tough and resilient he was.

Ali also often doesn't get credit for his power, since he wasn't really a "1 punch" artist. - but Joe sure took a beating himself that night.

I'm so glad I'm old enough to have watch that fight live, not knowing what the outcome would be. Great memories.....

Actually, the music is better then what typically gets slapped on these things. OSTs are the best.

Ali gets mad credit for his chin and yet I still agree it's under-rated...

I'm only 26, so this fight took place years before I was even born. But lookin at this video you're right, Joe was tagged with some real good shots.

    Is this the Frazier fight?

If you should know, both fighters got sent to the hospital after the match -- not just Ali.
(I'm not sur eif this was the fight that there were even rumors that Frazier died, which is a testament to Ali's firepower)
Nonetheless, Ali has good recuperative abilities, not sure about his chin though.
It was seldom tested, but when it was, it did held up OK.

  13. It was seldom tested? :patsch
Henry Cooper, Joe Frazier, Ken Norton broke his ****ing jaw and he fought on with it and that disgusting fight with Larry Holmes where an old man was tee'd off upon and still wouldn't go down. Corner had to stop it.
His chin was more than tested and it showed to be made of iron.

    :deal

Considering the opponents he fought to never get KO'd and only knocked down a few times, shows what a great chin and heart this guy had.

You do understand what "seldom" means, right?:patsch
And you do understand as well that going down and not getting KO'd means you have good recuperation, not always a testamant to a strong chin.
If anything, going down because of a punch in the face should put your chin in suspect.

    Morons these days.
