The only issue I’ve had with Loma is he has been going to fights with people who are lighter than him or coming off long lay offs. With Linares this is a great chance for him to fight a heavier active man with skills. I got Loma but at least I don’t feel as confident in this one.

Lomachenko is a good talent but his resume doesn't warrant all the praise he's getting and definitely NOT a P4P #1 rating..

I'm in the same boat! The man is supremely skilled, but I want to see him flat on his back, unconscious due to my disliking of his over the top fans. If not for his fans, there is absolutely no good reason to root against him!

Boxers shouldn't be judged on money, otherwise conor McGregor is the second greatest boxer ever

He's more than just good obviously, and definitely should be in everyone's top 3 p4p if they are being honest, so no1 isn't ridiculous.

No, Nay-Sayer is right. That's why everyone in boxing does what he does. Only chumps wait 20+ fights before stepping up :risas3:

I neither like nor dislike him. I simply am amazed on how well he boxes.

Lomachenko was waiting too long in "amateurs".... How many fights he had ? bruh :D It's normal that he steps up faster than most of fighters.... He had like 500+ fights in ama...

Waiting too long for whom? Is being a two time Olympic gold medalist (A rare accomplishment) supposed to be a bad thing? I don't believe so. He's more than made up for it though.

500 fights in amateurs is a long experience. You should not be so surprised that Lomachenko did not wait for anything in profi. He had already too much fights in amateurs...

We saw him in that fight and he lost. And he never rewatched Salido either.

He's a 130 lb. foriegner with 11 fights fighting on basic cable. He competes in a sport that had it's heyday 50 years ago, and even then, he only competes twice a year. Is Trump supposed to invite him to the white house or what?

In terms of personally, I am pretty much like you; I am a huge boxing fan and I see that he has amazing athleticism, but if you are GREAT you do great things, you don't fight a journeyman from Columbia and spend 8 rounds showboating. You don't have three, four, five fights and then tell your promoter "not to waste time" arranging another fight against the guy who beat you. You don't spend 2 years calling out an obscure novice who can't make weight when you have a VERY GOOD Mexican titleholder in your division, and never mention his name.

In a nutshell, I have no problem with Lomachenko, his fans and his promoter suck.

Lomachenko would not step up so quick if he had no so much fights in amateurs ?:D Got my point? That gives him huge advantage over anyone in his division
