    :good

I feel the same, I'm not a fan of Bellew and I agree with you I think people are looking at Makabu's record rather than looking at how the styles will gel in the ring.

I wonder if people have just watched a few highlights or actually sat and watched a couple of Makabu fights in full.

bellew will start well but he will need to chin makabu early, otherwise hes going down mid - late.

    makabu's record isnt very good.

You might well be right Mr L, we will find out later.

I hope Bellew wins though, as much as he irritates me I have to support the British fighter.

I would expect Makabu to start coming on strong after round 6. Just don't think Bellew handles the weight that well at Cruiser compared to when he was at LHW and his stamina has taken a considerable hit.

If he does get stopped, I can see it being by exhaustion so a TKO.

Like others have said, I expect Bellew to jab, if he starts winding bombs up though if he get's a big of success, expect him to miss a bit and shoot over the top.

He has a good chance of winning the early rounds but I do think he could realistically struggle in the second half of the fight, if Makabu is still in good nick, I would expect his natural strength and stamina at the weight to take over then.

Well, I have to eat crow on this one (again)

This is the year of the British fighters, even when they're (sometimes big) underdogs, they almost always seem come trough.
