i dont like arums career path for cotto(cotto waiting till march now)

maybe he is just being cautious and they are wanting to give him time to recover from his shoulder injury. i think the layoff would be good for him. time to heel his body properly!

 

if marg wins pac it will be cotto v marg 2 in march. if not he will have an easy title defence in march then lose it to chavez jr in the summer. then retirement

I honestly think if Margarito loses they'll set him up with Cotto if he beats Chavez Jr., as the stage is set for Pacquiao-Mayweather. The money is just too right. Cotto may fight Pac again if Mayweather stays on vacation but hopefully that won't happen.

 

The only live fighter Cotto will ever fight again is Pacquiao , thats a fact , Cotto has been in more wars than any of the current top tier WW's and he's still young , he's shop worn , and if he's got his smart head on he should cherry pick from this moment on , and you know what , you dont hear Cotto crying about it either , by and large the guy deserves a few easy ones on his way to enhancing his legacy and living a wealthly life with his family .

If the Pacquiao Cotto re match happens , it will happen because the payday will be too much for Cotto to turn down , and if there is enough hunger left , the chance to avenge a savage savage beating from Manny , which i dont think Cotto is in any rush to do , thats if he knows whats good for him anyway .

As for the Mosley re match , forget it , he's golden boy , Alvarez same thing , why would Bob match him with Berto and let his own pocket suffer when he can keep him @54 and feed him Chavez Jr , thats what you must ask yourself , if you ask me Cotto should do what Hatton and Calzaghe done at this stage of there careers , drop Arum and Top Rank and look to do a fight by fight deal with the other big players , but if he's signed a contract extension with TR then thats gonna be difficuilt .

i've always said Cotto is used like a donkey for top rank....Arum gives two shyts about Cotto.....case and point

Cotto and Floyd i think could have happened however Arum made no attempt in getting his best fighter at the time with a legit shot to win, a chance to fight Floyd......he never was agressive with it like lets say how aggresive he was with trying to get Margo a shot before Cotto and how he is trying so hard to get Pac a shot before Cotto......

Cotto should have left camp when arum wasnt agressively seeking a fight with Floyd like he has with Margo and pac......he didnt even make an offer simply ran his mouth....

however Margo he made an offer for and Pac we know that fiasco.....im just saying...he throws Cotto to the wolves i mean he hasnt let him fight but once a champion for their belt...i mean his career is good dont get me wrong but i think it could have been better

Let's not forget that some of this delay is coming from Cotto's shoulder surgery.

 

As I understand it, Chavez Jnr didn't want to fight Cotto in November as he thinks he needs another fight first. After he pulled out, Cintron and Vanes were lined up as opponents for Cotto in November but Cotto said he couldn't get motivated for either fight. His team then decided to sit out until next year to see what options become available.

I'm not a fan of Arum but this doesn't seem like it's his fault.

 

Arums just keeping Cotto underwraps waiting to do another cash out on him. Another in house fight build up--he looses and is tossed to the dogs to squeeze out the remainder of his equity

Hes not matching cotto for career progression or re-emergence and in cottos deflated state i dont think he expects anything more out of him self either..

:good Cotto CHOSE to take the rest of the year off. Top Rank would have got him a fight in December but Cotto declined saying he only wanted a really big fight.

Rather than Cotto-Chavez Jr, I'd love to see Cotto-Angulo next year :yep
