His best asset is being an awkward southpaw, cool. AJ will figure him out eventually and finish him. The gassiev fight was razor close imo.
I think Joshua will win, but Wallin is a good fellow. He's got decent enough wins against Breazele and Gassiev, and he gave Fury hell. As a fighter has a very good package of skills, minus power. Sit back and enjoy.
Nah, Wallin’s ok. A bit feather fisted but very honest and pretty tough. He’ll give AJ a decent workout. I doubt he can win but AJ will know he’s there.
He's never impressed me, he's big, and durable but simply has no real weapons to really beat a genuine top 10 heavyweight. I'd put him on the level of someone like Duhaupas. He'll give Joshua some rounds but other than that he won't pose any kind of threat, which is I guess why they picked him.
I don't understand why he wasn't throwing any looping left hands on that cruiserweight he fought last time out Against Fury he was throwing some decent hard shots where as all his other bouts he looks powerless.
Wallin is a solid heavyweight who imo deserves his place in the top 15 especially after his win over Gassiev. However, I think his performance against Fury is somewhat overrated. He did well to cut him, but for me was largely outboxed throughout the fight. I think he’s a tough nights work for most guys bar Usyk, Fury, and Wilder. How Joshua does against him will tell us a lot about what he has left.
He was aided a lot by the cut fury suffered, got dominated minus hurting fury late Not sure that wins over comeback trail breazel and inactive gassiev put this guy ad a top tier heavyweight. I think Joshua will win this pretty convincingly
"I don't rate Otto Wallin" This isn't a new take. People didn't rate Wallin when he was 50-50 to beat Granat, or a 12/1 underdog against Fury, or a 70-30 underdog against Whyte who ducked him 9 days out from their London fight, or a 70-30 underdog against former unified cruiserweight titlist and KO artist Gassiev. Of course the @Brighton bomber types won't admit they were wrong, despite picking Whyte and Gassiev to KO him. Maybe Duhaupas would have beaten Whyte (before it even happened) and Gassiev on the road and given Fury a very tough fight. Personally I doubt it. If Joshua beats Wallin, that will be one of the absolute best wins on his record. Parker, Ruiz and Whyte wouldn't have beaten Wallin. Maybe Povetkin would have but there's no guarantee given Wallin's obvious advantages.
He's not top tier but he's better than Whyte/Parker level guys imo and he'd give any current heavyweight a hard night's work.
His claim to fame is losing 7 out of 9 rounds against a fighter who only had 1 eye, Wallin is bang average, no way he beats Joshua.
Why not? He gave Fury all he can handle and beat Gassiev. I know he's a former CW but he's been campaigning at HW for the last few years now. I rate him and I think he's going to give AJ SOME FITS.
