It's not Wilder's fault that his opponents test positive for steroids. Would you want to fight a man on steroids? He was still willing to fight Ortiz though. He still is and the fight will end the same way, with Ortiz at the end of Wilder's punches. Wilder would have done the same to Povetkin. It's almost as if these guys get cold feet. This is not like GGG who is a hard puncher, but still a middleweight, but at the top of the heaviest division, is the hardest puncher, is Wilder. Who wants to fight the hardest heavyweight puncher?
Povetkin never tested positive for steroids. Meldonium and Ostarine are not steroids. Ortiz tested positive for a blood pressure prescription drug.
he runs his mouth online in videos/ posts he makes.. seriously annoying and no where near as good as he thinks is.. hes a knockout waiting to happen. stuggled with guys like Washington and spizika... and were suppose to think he can hang with Joshua/parker/Ortiz? please... even pulev could beat him if he boxed smart...
I personally have issue with people bagging out any solid pro-boxer, SO many people treat all the boxers like they should be knocking everyone out all the time and accepting every single challenge - it doesn't work like that. Realistically, the top 50 HWs etc are BEASTS. It may not look that way from the comfort of your couch/office chair/whatever but if someone is consistently beating people in that range... they are serious serious fighters. People who have beaten anyone in the top 25 then that starts getting mega serious, and realistically... you CAN'T fight too many people in the top 10. It's just not viable. Wilder has absolutely taken fights which are not as competitive as they could be, and arguably avoided the bigger tests but he is clearly a monster. I don't think he beats everyone hands down or anything, but many of his fans will treat that as though it's bagging him out. THAT is as unbalanced as anyone who calls him a bum. Calling someone a bum because they don't knock EVERYONE out, or reacting like someone is calling them a bum because they say they can't knock everyone out is ******ed. Realistically the closer you get to the top 10 the less certain that any one of those guys will beat everyone in the ranks below them, give or take. Realistically Wilder is overdue to fight someone who currently deserves to be in the top ten, but he is supposedly fighting Ortiz who is probably the biggest Boogeymonster in the division... so fair play if he turns up and they fight.
Wilder should be banned from boxing. His statue should be smashed and **** upon. The guy deserves to be "egged" whenever he goes out in public.
LOL! If you don’t understand it by now then you most likely just never will. Continue being a fan of his and we’ll continue to be “HATERS” of him
I don't think it's HATE I like seeing dude fight but FFS bro fight a real challenge!!!!! If SOG and Canelo can shut folks up so can Windmill Wilder.....Once he steps UP doe
This wacko has the mentality of Tyson fury It’s no wonder so many heavyweight fans are against this overrated blowhard He’s not nearly as good as he is constantly runs his mouth saying. The first time he faces a decent opponent he will be beaten
He's hated because he's 2.5 years into his WBC title reign, has faced not one mandatory, has bloated his record with weak voluntaries and, more importantly, has no exceptional skill as a boxer, looks less than amateurish with jittery, half baked moves and huge reliance on a natural right hand punch that has, to this day, never been opposed to a decent defense. All the while he has made a great deal of noise about facing the best in the "dee-vizh-unn", none of which has amounted to a hill of beans. He has a big promotional outfit behind him, but still manages to only face scrubs. He may or may not be a fraud. The problem is that we have been waiting so long for him to prove that he is not a fraud.
I don't like him because of his opposition's level, he has never fought with really worthy opponents, but behaves as if he were an absolute champion. I don't understand why Wilder refused 4.5 million offer to fight Dillian Whyte.I have one explanation that Wilder isn't sure about himself
I wish they'd match him like Tommy Morrison got matched. And it's not like Tommy was facing killers every time out, but he was a glass cannon like Wilder is, and we got a lot of enjoyment out of how he was brought along. The safety-first matchmaking has robbed us of Wilder potentially knocking out a fighter or two above his pay grade with that nuclear right hand because his team didn't want to take the risk of him winding up on the other side of the upset. And it's a shame. Dude comes to fight, and with his power, could've easily become a fan favorite here, even with a couple L's on his record.
