I don't see Canelo winning many rounds against Bivol

He might KO him, he might drop him a few times but if it goes 12 I think he'll lose 7 or 8. If you watch Bivol he's barely lost a round as a pro. If you watch the Craig Richards fight the judges had it close but Bivol won nearly every round he just didn't dominate them all but the scores were a joke.

This will be an interesting fight Bivol is quite small for a light heavyweight and he's not a big puncher either but the way he disguises his shots I can see him getting off on Canelo quite a bit. Canelo normally slips so well by reading his opponents body when they're loading up punches but there's no tell with Bivol.

Bivol can be beaten but it will take a high volume intensity fighter to make him look bad and that's not Canelo strength.

I think Canelo will get the nod but it'll not be easy for him. This will probably be a very disputed decision if not a robbery if he can't stop him. I'm going to watch a few more of Bivol's fights but I haven't seen one where he's badly hurt yet.

    114-113, 113-114, 120-108 Canelo.

I think Canelo will be looking to counter Bivol's step in jab, wether it's successful or not determines how and who wins the fight imo.

Bivol is excellent. he is also deceptive. His game seems very simple but I think that once you are there with him you'll realise just how well he has mastered his seemingly simple strategy. I think Bivol has the best chance of beating Canelo since Golovkin. If Canelo can't deal with his fast, sharp punching and movement he could well lose.

Canelo is winning this fight no matter what, the judges will make sure of that as another eastern European fighter found out not so long ago.

Bivol is coming to lose guaranteed. Canelo has stacked the deck constantly and been involved in fixed fights...there's no reason to think he isn't at it again.

Bivol needs to actually extend his arms and throw punches with intent to at least make it look real this time round though lmao

Maybe not in reality, but he will on the judges' scorecards.

Remember Bivol vs Richards in the UK? He will get the same treatment against Canelo, who of course is a lot better.

Bivol is a beast and I can't imagine Canelo knocking him down, Canelo could win on points, but this will definitely be his hardest fight...

Yeah Bivol is superbly talented, but if he can't hurt Canelo or even push him back, he won't win.

Canelo is the superior fighter, but shorter. The only question is how Canelo will master the distance. If you take distance out of the equation, of course Canelo wins this. Bivol doesn't hit as hard as GGG. He is very efficient and active, but lacks some power. It will be a close fight. Bivol wins most of the center ring action but Canelo scores the hardest shots. The championship rounds 10-11-12 will be decisive.

I agree, this is Canelo's hardest fight since GGG 1. I can envision this fight going 3 different ways.

    1. Controversial UD for Canelo where Canelo presses the action and lands eye catching shots while Bivol commits to a more defensive approach behind a jab, trying to steal rounds. This DOES NOT work in a Canelo fight, the judges favor him heavily, they specifically look for aggression so you have to throw down and shut up when fighting him.

    2. Easy UD for Bivol where his size is simply too much for Canelo who isn't a natural LHW. A damaged and drunk Kovalev was outboxing Canelo easily from the outside until his stamina and punch resistance gave in. Bivol is in his prime, had a full training camp and has suffered almost no damage in his professional career so he can maintain a high pace for 12 rounds.

    3. Canelo TKO, I'd actually be surprised to be honest. But then again I never thought he'd be able to stop Kovalev or eviscerate Smith's arm like that who is a really big guy.

Bivol's got his work cut out for him as Clenelo already has a 118-110 card filled out.

The only time I remember him being hurt was the Joe Smith Jr fight. I don’t remember which round it was in but it was right before the bell, so Smith didn’t really have a chance to follow up with anything. I think it was one of those punches that landed above the ear and mess up your equilibrium. I don’t think Canelo has Joe Smith Jr power though.

Bivol looks like he works at a much higher pace than Canelo. This is a difficult fight for different reasons.

Bivol won't buy as many of Canelo's feighnts as most his opponents do. If Canelo can't put Bivol down, which I seriously doubt, then Bivol's skill will see him outland Canelo in my opinion.

If this is another robbery I will stop tuning into Canelo yes he's a great fighter to watch but I'm not having this where they just let a fighter win if nobody can knock them out they tried that with Danny Garcia for a while.

Hope this is a fair decision either way.
