I don't see Canelo winning many rounds against Bivol

    Ok
This could have a Lacy vs Calzaghe look to it. So the crooks might save Canelo with a draw. Bivol is a dominant young light heavyweight champ, not an old washed up one. Where do the judges draw the line if Canelo loses decisively?

It's really a shame that it is like that, but it sure seems that way.

Man don't you just love how most of the thread is crying about a decision that hasn't even occurred yet? Talk about inevitable. Sheesh.

This is a great fight on paper and I favor Bivol. He’s going to have to KO Canelo to get the W but it will do a lot for Bivol’s exposure and might lead to a rematch. Canelo will jerk him over and make him sweat for the rematch, maybe even insist on a secret max hydration clause, but it will eventually happen.

I don’t see Bivol knocking out Canelo but he will outbox him and use his size to give Canelo major problems. Bivol will go into the last few rounds with a lead and Canelo will steal the last few rounds. The judges will gift the fight to Canelo, fans will complain except Ginger’s fans who will celebrate it and say it was decisive. Some will threaten to quit watching pro boxing but we all will come back. Like the last Taylor fight, big name/money fighters own the judges.

History repeats itself. Until I see Canelo lose to someone less popular than himself I wont believe it can be done.

It might be a Buster Douglas vs Mike Tyson replay, gum shield and all.

If Golovkin was fighting Smith, Saunders, Plant, those types of guys, they would be good bouts that I believe GGG would win. If GGG was fighting Bivol next , I wouldnt be too optimistic.

Clenelo doesn't need to win many rounds. He just has to avoid knockdowns, move forward and throw some power shots every 30 seconds and at least two of three judges will give him 7-9 rounds.

Well I'd at least need to see someone less popular beat him convincingly before I could entertain that level of bunker mentality I often see here. Crying over close fights in a sport where the winner often is determined by 3 opinions isnt logical. I get there will be arguments or discussions because it's all subjective. But the constant level of fake outrage here? Ridiculous.

It's just the way it is. What do you consider convincing, 12 -0 in rounds with 3 knockdowns?

Bivol is not that good. Canelo easily hurts him in the body and knocks him out. It will be an easier fight than Plant fight for Canelo.

No Adalaide Byrd will be needed this time.

Nope. But I definitely haven't seen anyone look like they'd outclassed him convincingly aside from Floyd.
