I don't see Canelo winning many rounds against Bivol

This one is tricky. Based on how much one can overrate Canelo and underrate Bivol.

I do think Bivol has excellent fundamentals (jab and footwork is all he needs) to carry him to the top. The only thing to question is whether or not Canelo's pressure (particularly body shots) will eventually get to him like what happened to Plant or Kovalev? His inside fighting appears to be lacking, which Canelo could very well exploit.

As for Canelo, he is equally excellent. Except people let themselves get carried away talking about his skills, he isn't a perfect boxer by any means. His footwork is average, he can be (and has been) out jabbed in fights, and his punch volume can be lackluster. This explains why he typically loses some rounds and has people claiming his fights are controversial.

I'm actually torn on this, but I lean towards Bivol slightly. He is a solid light heavyweight, same age as Canelo and great boxing skills that should be enough to carry him all 12 rounds. And assuming fair judging, I do believe he could win 6-8 rounds.

Bivol doesn`t have the power to keep Canelo off him.

Canelo is far more skilled than Lacy was, he would have toyed with him, Bivol is far more defensive than Calzaghe.

Bivol has plenty of power. Joe Smith was a minute away from getting knocked out. But it's not Bivol's power that will be the problem for Canelo, it is his light footwork, speed and ability to punch in bursts that is going to be the problem. Canelo is going to have to land heavy hurtful blows on Bivol and I don't think he is going to land that much. Bivol can outwork ginger.

Klit did simple things and was unbeatable for 10 years. If Bivol uses his legs, reach, long guard and volume punching he might win more rounds than Canelo, but ultimately gets robbed.

Bivol is such a scholar and a gent. Right up there with Usyk, Big Joe Joyce and J-Park as one of the nicest guys in the sport.

Bivol doesn`t have Klits power, Canelo will walk through his punches with his high guard.

You can’t even back that fixed fight theory up. It’s not uncommon for Yildrim, Saunders, and Plant to pitty pat in a lot in fights, but as soon as they do it against Canelo the fights fixed? Gtfo The only suspicious fight was Kovalev

    I half agree

I think Canelo makes his presence known in the second half and if a KO happens it will come out of nowhere.

This might end up like Valdez v Stevenson.
