100% agree. I won't call him an ATG but yeah he would definitely shoot up there if he beats those two.

About two or three fighters could beat him.

But I'd still have Nonito as a favorite.

    This.

Mares has the best chance IMO.

You can't really look at it like that. Styles make fights, Nishioka, with another style, may have faired better. He fought the way he did for a lot of the fight because he was weary of Nonito's power and speed. With Mares, he would've fought differently, with Rigo, perhaps as well, but I dont think he would have beat him.

This type of talk is like saying Moreno would lose against Nonito and Rigo, just because Mares beat him. Boxing doesn't work like that.

I really gotta wonder if some of you guys really comprehend what Nonito is doing in some of his fights.

I wouldn't favor Mares but smart pressure has been shown to get to Donaire. At his best, he throws good combinations on the offensive, but when facing pressure, usually looks for one or two solid counter-punches. Arce ducked well under the left hook as he advanced (often after throwing a lead right), and Mares is very good at jabbing or weaving or feinting his way towards an opponent. I think I still favor Donaire to out-maneuver him and land the harder shots, but if Mares can sustain an attack on the inside, I don't see Donaire doing too well. Despite his broken hand, he could have done things differently when under fire in the Vasquez fight.
