I don't see how Calzaghe is going to beat Dawson.

This **** is funny. Calzaghe would get his ass whooped.

 

I think that dawson would win this. Calzaghe can not hurt Dawson, he maybe slightly faster but he not hurting anyhting with those punches. Dawson's defense is not great but his offence is wonderful. I say Dawson by UD. Stamina will not be a problem for the younger Dawson and his boxing skills are impressive.

To be honest i think Roy is going to give Calzaghe Hell.

 

Ah, now this is becoming quite the common phenomenon. We can call it the Calzaghe Connundrum.

Basically it can be expressed thus:

Everyone (except people who have already fought him) KO Calzaghe

We can see then that the amount of people in the world who could easily walk through Calzaghe's pitter patter punches and knock him out is massive.

It just never actually happens.

 

Calzaghe can get inside Dawson and pepper him with combos, and over the course of a long fight, they would take their toll.

I definitely think Dawson *could* win that fight based on his reach and power (a larger gap than you might think) advantage, but Calzaghe would trouble him greatly as well, because Chad really struggles to defend on the inside.

Would love to see it, but the odds of it happening are slim.

 

one American fighter loses... onto the next one, come on guys, keep hyping up Dawson, the man who struggled and imo LOST to Glen Johnson. Calzaghe would get inside Dawson's reach and rough him up inside. What people conveniently seem to forget is that the man is quite possibly the most adaptable man in boxing today, he just out hustled Hopkins and beat him at his own game... surely this tells you something?

 

Dawson won a very close fight with an old Johnson whereas Calzaghe won a very close fight with an old Hopkins. Same difference.

This is a bad fight for Calzaghe. Dawson shook Johnson with some shots, Calzaghe would be hurt bad by those shots.

I think that Joe could beat Dawson, I just dont think that he would. I also dont think that Joe would beat Johnson at this point.

He's not going to fight Dawson anyway. No one knows about Dawson outside hardcore fans.Therefore it's not a big money fight. If Joe wants one more fight before retiring, it's going to be a big money fight ie Jones
