I don't see how Margarito beats Cotto.

Put The Lovemore, Torres, Corley fight together,the fact that Margarito is a devastating puncher, VERY high workrate, is tall and punches from the outside coming in and is the biggest fighter Cotto has ever faced and you can visualize how he can beat Cotto.

 

Awkward angles, uppercuts, bigger, high workrate.

by the same token, Margarito's aggressive pressure, Longer reach, Uppercut's , Body Punching & inside fighting could decimate Cotto.

The only reason this fight is considered close is because most people believe that Cotto's chin is his weakness. When you consider technical ability, agility, speed, power, ring intelligence and fundamentals like a jab, then Cotto is clearly the favourite.

 

All those fights took place at 140 not 147. It will be tough for Marg to beat Cotto

 

Also Marg's workrate will be alot less when he starts to see that Cotto can beat him to the punch at will. I believe Cotto's shorter, quicker punches will cause alot more damage then Marg can deliever. Every fighter that fights Cotto has a lot less punches thrown than usual.

 

That's Cotto's Body work, plus Margarito was put down by a body shot before.

 

I just keep looking back at how Clottey was able to hit Margarito at will with Left hooks he would double and triple them up. If not for the hand injury Margarito would have hed another loss. He beat Margarito to the punch all night. With all due respect to Clottey he does not hit nearly as hard as Cotto and kind of got overwhelmed with the physical fight that was taken place. A physical war is what Cotto is used to. Every one said that Gomez was alot bigger then Cotto that he was used to fighting at 154 and 160 that Cotto's punches would not effect Gomez that it would go the distance. LOL

 

cotto will make this look like PBF vs CHICO(not saying margo is on chico's LEVEL). just saying people will be surprised by the distance of skill level between the 2 . make no mistake cotto should go through him margo is nothing special. had cintron just boxed and not traded he would of won a ud. but he was stupid . cotto has ring inteligence no pbf type but he can beat margo.
