I don't see the hype in Shakur Stevenson

LOL at you picking apart Tims resume. I could do the same to Shakur. Harrison, Mendoza, Horn, Hogan, Inoue, O’campo, Gausha is a pretty good resume and Tim wasn’t a heavy favorite in all of those fights. Shakur is always a heavy favorite and fights like a cat. Tim is built for war Shakur isn’t period fact LMAO

Excuses! The fact remains that Shakur has the better resume. Imo Gausha is Timmy's most impressive win because he got up from the canvas and won clearly.

Disagree. Tim wins in more impressive fashion in his fights he puts his opponents in the dirt. Shakur plays tag and runs the kid couldn’t crack an egg and is terrified of getting hit. Tim brings the mother ****ing ruckus

Different styles in boxing you know this. Not every guy is going to be a power puncher just like every guy isn't going to be a pure boxer. I can appreciate all styles.

I see the potential. What I don't see is the execution commensurate with expectations. The fan's, sport's and even less so, his own. He'll be another waste of gifts and opportunity. Another Tank Davis in terms of resume but infinitely more boring and (hopefully) compensated accordingly.

Stevenson isn't walking the path of Davis in any way.

So you think he's gonna fight all those comparable guys around him then? That they won't all intentionally price each other out most of the time in a giant gaurd-my-zero circle jerk for the next 10 years or so?

I can be wrong and I hope I am, but considering the way things have been in recent years, I trust you'll forgive my skepticism.

Stevenson might not be able to make the big fights happen but he's staying busy fighting quality fighters. Tank is jumping up and down divisions picking whoever he can exploit for the biggest paycheck without risking his 0.

So this absolves him of responsibility and he can follow in Tank's footsteps and maybe have a couple of yellow Lambos and get street cred by thugging in the face of local authorities and they can't get anything done about it and then crying victim about it on Facey Space. This is what SS wants. Why wouldn't he?

The guys he beat have been relative ham n' eggers. None of them actually had a chance to win sans a giant upset. So now he thinks he's worth giant money having not actually done much except get photographed bro-ing it up with and enjoying the encouragement of Andre Ward and Bud Crawford (2 actual greats) and it's over. He can just say all the actual threats don't deserve to be in the ring with him.

If he actually wanted to be a legit great and famous like SRL was famous or DLH, he would offer to fight Tank or Teo or Haney or Keyshawn or Boots or Lomachenko (or ALL OF THEM) for a portion of the take that would cause all the fanbois that value who-makes-what over who-beats-who to lose their tiny little minds.

    But he won't.

Charlo-Stevenson going to be in the mens relay at the Olympics. You won't see faster runners than these guys.
