I don't see why Mikey is getting so much flack for moving UP to fight Lippinets

    This is still the monster that 6-1 175 lb. Crawford went to Welter to run away from, isn't it?

    From what I learned here, Terrence said, "give me Spence, Porter or Thurman, I don't even want to be in the same BUILDING as Lipinets!"

    If Mikey can somehow beat this monster, he is fighter of the year! Chenko would never fight him after that.

    I think it's more the fact that he passed up fights that are much more high profile to fight an as of yet unproven (but potentially good) titleist. I would have preferred Linares or Loma at 135 over this but I can't knock it to much, it is a solid fight.

    The guy who made that thread was also making threads about Roman Gonzales ducking Ali Raymi. Noone really believes that Crawford ducked Lipinets.

    It's seems to me garcia is looking for easy title fights against paper champions and am no crawford fan but if he wasn't going to welter he would have had this fight for the easy money this guy isn't very good

    Nobody's scared of Lipinets. Kid's a crude former kickboxer with some power - but even that is overrated. Mikey is gonna beat his ass. Crawford would have stole his career from him. Didn't the asian dude he fought in his last fight drop him hard?

    Lipinets is a good boxer. He will test Mikey but I wholeheartedly believe Mikey is a level above him. He should win but has to be on his A game. Lipinets will surely be on his for a fight of this magnitude.

    Out of all Lipinets' fights I've watched only one — vs. Akihiro Kondo. In that fight Lipinets landed some punches flush and Kondo didn't even flinch. How has Lipinets managed to get his KO victories (I see several of them on his boxrec page) I don't know, frankly speaking, but for me he's not a "KO-master" for sure. That Crawford has moved up to duck such a guy is complete bull****. :)
    I'm sure Mikey (and his team) also don't see Lipinets as a big threat for them.

    Not sure how much to rate Lipinets- he looked good in a couple fights but average in a couple of others. He can punch though, that Kondo guy has a granite chin.
