Can only go on his last fight and he was impressive, Degale might just start surprising a few people.
Doubtful, his overhand right is too wide and he has a habit of falling off in the middle rounds. The display he pulled with Dirrell is typical of him. He is a class guy, but hard to not see him getting countered early then controlled and dominated by the middle of the fight.
Both Ward and Froch have the ability to back Golovkin up which almost nobody from 154 to 168 would likely be able to consistently do. In addition to that, Froch is a battle tested monster, and Ward is pretty much unparralleled on the inside and Golovkin has shown thus far not to be an inside fighter at all. Both Froch and Ward would be favorites against Golovkin and deservedly so.
I agree with you on Froch, but I am not so sure Ward could or would back him up consistently and GGG's inside fighting is underrated. He has the ability to carry a low center of gravity and his short hooks and uppercuts are fully leveraged and I think that makes the style Ward typically employs a very uncomfortable and dangerous one. Ward would be better served to use quick hands outside and dance, try and get Golovkin to over reach and frustrate him. If Ward can do that, I think he has a good chance.
Ward would be the favorite over him and Froch would be a pick em with him probably being the slight favorite.
Ok Tyrone. and i'm sure your racist avatar had nothing to do with promoting your decision when writing that post. btw, Calzaghe UD Hopkins on away turf. Deal with it. :deal
