We wouldn't know if he has an Iron chin or not, being that he has faced damn near all scrubs, and no vaunted power punchers with talent. He's lucky that Pirog had the back injury in training. I could see somebody with decent boxing ability and pop stopping Golovkin on cuts.

Ward would mug him. Hopkins might too, depending on what he has left in the tank.

If Golovkin was around during Haglers middleweight reign, or Hopkins middleweight reign, we wouldn't even be talking about Golovkin.

 

GGG is at his best when his opponent is on the move and he is able to cut off the ring, force them to the ropes and work the body. If we look at GGG's last fight, Monroe started off trying to box GGG from the outside, but got caught and dropped hard. He then changed his game plan to instead fight GGG on the inside, smothering him. He had pretty decent success with this strategy too because GGG has a habit of waiting for his opponent to finish their combos before returning fire. He can and will punch with his opponent, but he seems to prefer to wait on them to finish before coming back with his own. For these reasons I believe, now more than ever, Ward would clearly beat GGG.
