He had no intention of facing Wlad in a re match, you can't sign a contract and then go back on it just because it suits you,I personally hate what he's done and I'm not even talking drugs.
There's reasons he should be stripped regardless of the coke issue, not the least being his medical/mental condition has the HW division in limbo, and the specifics of his case means he could possibly never box again. The HW division does not have to wait for him to clean up his act.
How has Fury held up the division? Lets not forget that Wilder didnt face Wlad and has made several defences of his title, but nobody felt that was holding anything up. If anything Fury possibly moved the division on a bit, as he beat the champ and suddenly people are interested in the division due to it having an undefeated champ with some undefeated fighters around
Of course Fury should not be stripped. Especially for a life time steroid cheat like Vlad who has been able to hide from detection in drug cheater's heaven, Russia/Germany/Ukraine. Fury will make his comeback and beat Vlad's ****** ass even worst than he beat the cheat before. Then Fury can face Deontay Wilder and take his ass whopping like a man.
You need to read up more on the situation of the failed test in 2015 for alleged nandrolone use. Fact is UKAD have completed their investigation and based on Fury's response to appeal the decision before the NADP suggests he was found guilty. Only reason we don't know any details is because Fury appealed the decision and UKAD don't make anything official until everything has been completed. As for why it took so long for the failed test to come to light and the decision to be made by UKAD. This is likely due to the Fury's prolonging the process through legal challenges, like Toney Thompson did when he tested positive. The length of time this has taken is rare but not unprecedented, so nothing suspicious there. True Ward was inactive for longer but he had legitimate reasons for that. We all know he had injuries and legal issues with his promoter. Fury on the other hand has had one very dodgy looking supposed injury and now another cancellation due to mental health issues which he has not been able to verify to the WBA's satisfaction. Now if he can provide the necessary medical certificates then of course he shouldn't be stripped as I said before. As long as his reasons for this 2nd delay are legitimate like Ward's then he should be treated the same and not stripped. But even if he does have a genuine medical reason to not fight the doping issue still could result in him being stripped. Maybe he can successfully appeal UKAD's decision but if he is unsuccessful a lengthy ban will follow which will force the WBA to strip him.
It doesn't matter if Wilder hasn't fought Wlad. That's irrelevant. Tyson has held things up because he hasn't fought Wlad in a rematch, despite being contractually obligated to do so.
The problem with Fury is no one knows when he will return. I don't think even he knows. He's stated he has mental illness issues. Apparently he also has a cocaine problem. Both of these problems could take a year to sort out and the prospects of a drug relapse is very likely with cocaine. Then coupled with this another vexing problem for promoters and boxing businessmen, Fury cannot be taken at his word. He retires. Then he unretires and says it was a joke. He's signed contracts and backed out of two. Added to all this is his behavior the last year. While he's supposed to be getting ready for a world title fight he ignores his training and preparations. From an outsider's POV it seemed he had no intentions of getting into the ring with Klitschko. The problem for the sanctioning bodies is one of trust. Can Fury be relied upon to do anything he says he will do? Obviously Fury has problems. Not the kind of problems that even he can accurately predict recovery for.
Wilder has been fighting, Fury has been almost a year inactive and from what I've heard there will be a ruling in the next day or so of Fury's failed drug test last year- no idea why it's taken so long but from what I hear that is what is holding up all the title stuff right now. Fury was SUPPOSED to be fighting Klitschko and failed for cocaine as well, they perhaps tried to get out of that citing mental health so it wasn't struck off as not being able to compete for a drug test failure but either way he should have been the best thing for the division but this carry own is ruining it. Right now it seems the best thing for the division is for him to be stripped while he sorts his crap out and let people who aren't dressing in batman suits, taking PEDs, retiring and unretiring, shouting everyone Jagerbombs and doing cocaine and instead getting down to business.
There's no way Fury will box inside of the 1 year period. He is not injured. He has no intention of fighting. There's absolutely no doubt he will be stripped. Those who argue Fury should keep his belts can't possibly be boxing fans. We want active champions. Not guys who hog belts and block an entire division. Fury is a disgrace.
LOL! Fury says, "F you, if'n you can't take a joke"! Tyson Fury is the MAN, until Deontay Wilder puts his gloves on him.
Careful when I said similar I got told How can I know what his intentions are? Well to myself at least I would of thought it obvious he never intentions of the re match as he was never in shape to do so,he gos on about not being appreciated for his win over Wlad and yet since then instead of beating him in a re match he's become more famous for taking his top off at a press conference, being seen partying at the euros,PED accusations, cocaine and now saying he's retired Only to refute it moments later, these are not the actions of someone intent on a rematch are they? Tyson Fury has become a joke for all the wrong reasons.
IBF are in a good situation. Well respected champ who fights often and is gearing up for a potential mega fight which would elevate the status of the belt and organisation. Meanwhile, WBA and WBO can look forward to 6+ months of uncertainty which may end up with them stripping Fury anyway after a wasted 18 months or more.
