- Warren mentioned they talked to Team Usyk 4 weeks before the Joshua II fight and pretty much agreed to the terms a 50/50 split -Warren yesterday afternoon said that he wrote the letter to the WBC that Fury will carry on fighting - Warren also said in an interview that Fury told him to make the fight, that he recognizes how important this fight is
My guess is Fury will duck. But we will see. I always give fighters the respect when the decide to retire, but since he has declared himself better than Usyk, if he does not fight, it is a duck and it hurts his legacy. You can't not fight AND talk ****.
If that's the case, then good, no problems, it should be announced very soon. Frank Warren, what a slimy opportunist that guy is. I remember back to the Fury-Chisora II fight, Warren was convinced Chisora was the better fighter. After Chisora lost, he started flirting with Fury. He was like some dodgy boss trying to groom someone's wife. Mick was an idiot letting Warren ''work with them'', when it was obvious Warren was making moves on his guy. They had those press conferences where Warren was giving Fury the look of love every time, right in front of Mick. Then when the time was right, he struck, Mick was gone and suddenly Warren had Fury, with the help of Arum/ESPN. Arum looked like he was going to steal Fury from Warren for a period. But Warren weathered the storm and lucky for him Fury got banned from the US. Hey, maybe Frank even slipped some info to the FBI to keep Fury trapped in the UK like the writer guy who got hobbled in Misery.
