funny how Pac fans always go into a fight saying this guy is a beast if Pac beats him it proves how great he really is. but for this one theyre calling Pacquiao shot even though last month Floyd was ducking him
biittches gonna biittch. . . just be thankful, embrace the fact that both are past their primes, enjoy the fight, get drunk and hope for a fair desicion. thats it!
dude this is a forum, you have Floyd vs Manny die hard fans here. but you are talking about the minority, google and see the hype out there and we are 2 months away! most people are ecstatic about this fight $100 can be quite a bit for people who struggle day to day bro... yes, it's a hell of a fight but many are not willing to pay $100 for entertainment. I will have no problem paying for it but i know some that won't..
In principal I certainly agree with you. The obscure thing is what 'bigger' actually means when applied to a fight, and in particular what it is intended to mean here.
Off the top of my head, during my lifetime. Turpin v SRR 1 Ali v Liston 1 FOTC Ali v Foreman Duran v Leonard 1 Leonard v Hearns 1 Hagler v Hearns Benn v McClellan Eubank v Watson 1 or 2 Douglas v Tyson Oops I didn't realise you meant biggest in money. I thought you meant biggest in that both fighters were prime, or very close to it.
I think it is fair to say all of us are disappointed this fight took so long to be made and as a result probably robbed us of what might have been a better fight say 3 or 4 years ago. But a big part of the whinging and moaning going on here is the polarization that still exists between the fans. The "Floyd is shot" and "Pac is shot" stuff is largely wishful thinking on the part of supporters of the other fighter. The entry price to the fight is quite ludicrous. But the PPV, when you consider the significance of the fight, is far from outrageous, and if people aren't prepared to pay $100 - just don't. You will still get to see the fight at some stage in the future and then it will very likely cost you nothing.
I don't even think it's gonna be a close fight. 1) Mayweather is naturally the bigger guy. 2) Pac was knocked out cold. 3) Plenty of other reasons. Floyd would only lose to a bigger guy (154 & up) that is really talented like GGG if they could fight at 154.
I agree. But for that idiot always trying to use quotes to back up his claims, its got to mean something.
Man it must of been great to live the era you did. When boxing was mainstream. I wish I could talk boxing at work but most people only know pac and mayweather . I tried talking boxing at work once and the guy started going on how pacquiao had really beat Floyd and was robbed (referring to Bradley).
