I think you understand Floyd's reasoning pretty well. However, credit where it's due - Zab was a reasonable threat at the time (moreso that Baldomir) and so was DLH (but the $$ balanced the threat nicely).

That's good. I'm gonna steal that.

Fair point - Floyd has said himself: "I fight for money, not bragging rights." He's already admitted the "call me out" line is BS, not much point in harping on it.

Void not only cherry picks his opponents, he has to have his venue, his referee, his judges, his commentators, his weight, etc.

This is another thing, Floyd has been going back and forth as to why he fights. Didnt he just say in his interview before the Klit/Arreola fight that its about legacy for him?

What I dont understand is why the people that make these thread once a week dont mention the facts that Floyd tried/offered fights to Margo, cotto and Mosley, yet he is said to be ducking those fighters...If it were not for those offers then there would be some grounds for this never ending bashing.

Who Floyd fights seems to be the hottest topic in boxing today. I know the reason for it, but Ill just leave it at that.

the most amazing thing to me is just mere weeks ago when Bertos name came up as a fighter that Floyd may fight next, Berto was branded as unworthy dispite being a world champion and a very viable fighter for anyone not named floyd mayweather jr.

With the possibility of fighting Pacquiao, Cotto, Mosley and many others being open and obvious I don't see the problem. DLH took **** for fighting Pacquiao and look how good that turned out to be for the sport, you were one of the people who wanted DLH to fight Margarito only to see Marg suspended and boxing looking like a joke in comparison to UFC.

 Offered to fight Margarito 2 weeks before a scheduled and already once postponed fight. As if waiting till the fight was over was too much to ask? Or too much to make a legit offer? ****...you probably believed his remark on saying Pac could pay JMM step aside money too. ****in rube...:patsch

:patsch No one forced DLH to say he would fight the Margarito/Cotto winner. He said that to keep his name alive.

And how good for the sport was DLH and Pac? WTF does that even mean? Did boxing get some sort of revival by that one fight? Are things different now then they were a couple years ago? No, things are just as bad and with HBO's budget cutting, not going to get any better. But hey, your fave is getting paid. that's all you care about.

Are you insane? Did you just start following boxing within 2 years?

Floyd has been making claims that hes better than SRL and SRR, let alone with the current crop of welterweights.

You keep saying that dumb **** but every time I prove you wrong you run off. On January 7 2006 Judah lost to Baldomir, before that fight Judah and Floyd Agreed to fight on April 8 2006. During the week of Jan 8, Margo was offered the fight as a replacement for Judah he turned it down because Arum said that he need Margo for a Febuary 18 PPV vs some total bum. If you do the math that is three weeks of jan two and a half weeks of febuary before the fight that Margo was set to fight 10 days after that left in feb, all of March and 7 days of april before the fight with floyd which is a total of 88 days or just under THREE MONTHS. Which by the way was the same amount of time that would have had to get ready for Margo...Once again a lame ass excuse from a lame ass cat that is blindly hating on a fighter.

Go ahead and come up with yet another lame ass excuse..Then afterwards pop in the fight between Judah and Floyd and listen to Larry and jim talk about the offer that was made to Margo:hi:

I agree, should Cotto and Berto win those fights, and there is a good chance that they both could, it would be a huge cut in pay to fight those guys instead of the Pac and shane...However if you want to see Floyd fight the best then whoever wins those fights should matter since they would have beatten the other fighter right???

 As if that's still legit. A call out is NOT an offer jackass. Was Floyd going to promote it?> Did he pick out an venue? I guess he was going to pay for the losses incurred in the venue and cable subscription? Do you even take that **** into consideration? Do you think it's just that simple to cancel a fight once the wheels have been rolling? You'd believe Floyd if he was pissing on your face and said it was rain.
