What has Oscar got up his sleeve to think that canelo will beat GGG something just stinks about this fight.

Are you suggesting that Lara used his size to give Canelo hell?

    No.

Every punch that lands on him seems to get his attention and he overreacts in his response. This is what I have observed.

I don't understand your explanation. I'm no Alvarez fan but his punch resistance seems to be the least of his problems to me.

I have rewatched their fights up to 2015 (Lemiux, Cotto)

    -Golovkin hits harder than Canelo
    -Golovkin doesn't need rest breaks
-Golovkin and Canelo have never been in survival mode, both have great chins
    -Golovkin has a better jab
    -Canelo has better counter punching

Canelo fights how you fight him. If you try to blitz him like Kirkland did, he will trade with you until someone gets KOd. If you box he will try to box with waist movement and counter punching.

Golovkin sort of just slowly breaks you down with hard jabs and hooks. If he hurts you he goes for the kill. He is not easy to hit, he does subtle things to avoid taking hard shots.

I don't see Canelo going backwards in this fight, too pridefull. I see him and Golovkin standing in the middle of the ring, (until Canelo gets tired and then retreats to the ropes). Mid rounds. It will be very competitive.

At this point Golovkin's pressure will get Canelo to start slugging it out, Golovkin will glady do the same. It's going to come down to who can KO the other guy if they were both in a closet. This is where Golovkin shines due to his excellent chin and power.

Canelo has good chin, maybe even better, but he just doesn't have the power. Case in point he has failed to knockout many boxers.

If they fight how they always fight Golovkin wins.

granted momentum is on Canelos side. He will make better preperations and is still getting better and has a better contract. Meanwhile Golovkin is simply getting worse due to age.

How long ago was that and what weight was Alvarez fighting at? He seemed to take Kirkland's punches pretty well and Kirkland hits a whole lot harder than Jose Cotto.

I don't think Canelo could beat Jacobs or Lemeiux.

Floyd Mayweather - Beat Canelo and dominated him often.
Erislandy Lara - Arguably a loss here as well.
Austin Trout - Was a very competitive fight against a guy who has really only one decent win.
Miguel Cotto - A very old version of a bloated 147 pound fighter who was still competitive and went 12 rounds.
James Kirkland - You mean the guy who was previously knocked out by an 11 loss, 28% KO ratio fighter? You might as well throw Kahn on this list if you put Kirkland.
Shane Mosley - Another once great smaller and older fighter with 7 losses and a draw by the time he fought Canelo.

Yeah it's not really that impressive when you look past just the names. This is a great fight for him though so if he wins cleanly, all the credit in the world this time.

    Mayweather - got clowned
Lara - let's call it a draw, good for his resume though.
Trout - it was close, but decent again.
Cotto - a 140-147 legend, who no longer dehydrates to make weight. Gave away >15lbs
Kirkland - an over the hill, gung ho come forward fighter
Mosley - so over the hill, during his ongoing parade of seeing if he still has 'it'.

I still don't get why he gets so much admiration from non-US, non-Latino fight fans. Yes, he looks better with each fight, but can you not see how much GBP have protected him?
