I just cannot STAND this fight, and im sure many esb'ers feel the same!
Shane looked like **** in his last two fights. hes clearly WELL WELL past it!

Arum is blatantly taking the mayweather model of ''what makes money makes sense''. But why doesnt the Philipino Legend take it on himself and say no bob **** off i want a fight that will actually further my career and please the fans. Its not his fault the floyd fight isnt happening. But there are better fights out there. Sure they wouldnt generate the same money as Shane can but then isnt he the one who calls himself the peoples champ? At least floyd is honest that hes an ass and only fights for himself and the money. Yet this fight for manny has the exact same stigma attached to it.

Now before y'all pac-fans rip me to shred's let me add that im a huge fan myself. And with what hes achieved in his career and the high risk fights hes continued to chase. But we can all see hes nearing the end of his career (due to his love for politics). I think we deserve to see the p4p #1 against the best possible opponents?

Now shane clearly has a shot at winning. with his power and experience. But a fight with Berto, whos still an unknown quantity at top level, would be a more competitive affair? Or a rematch with marquez who is still looking awesome since their last fight! Or someone down at 140? although they are all tied up at the moment.

Pacquiao isnt stupid he knows this fight is one fans dont want to see! Yet come fight night everyone will be pumped, HBO will do a terrific fight selling it and the majority of us will tune in. But at the end of the day we all know this is a **** fight. Its a bit of a con.

Pacquiao should take it on himself and say to bob no i dont want this fight. I can't believe that pac has NO input at all and lets Arum do ALL the match making without getting a single word in himself? Its quite sad.

Anyways rant over . The floor is yours

Pacs clearing out all floyds opponents at WW and up and beating them much better than mayweather he is also KOing the guys that Floyd ducked

what will it take to get floyd in the ring with him ?

What does it matter if Pac beats on mosley JMM or berto at thsi stage he beats them all anyways?

Didn't Arum say Pacquiao picked his next opponent?

So what if Mosley last won a fight a month after Pacquiao beat another faded fighter in De La Hoya? The simple thing to do is to not watch it.

There are plenty of other fighters out there that are not named Pacquiao and Mayweather, stop nut hugging and enjoy them instead.

This is what people do not understand. So what if hes cherry picking. Floyd can call him out right now on ESPN and Arum will gladly pay Mosley to step aside to make a 100 million dollar fight. People are so misinformed that they expect Pac to refuse 15-20 million dollars:lol:

also Pac has two fights right now, Mosley or JMM (Berto couldnt even mention Pacs name and it would make no money)

Chimba, come on brother. You're really saying that Mayweather's legal problems and/or lack of interest in a fight right now is a valid excuse for Pacquiao cherrypicking? :blood

Arum doesn't want the Mayweather fight either. What makes you think he would pay Mosley to step aside when he jumped to sign the Clottey fight while they were still negotiating with Mayweather late last year?

    There's Martinez at 154 where Pac is a belt holder. There's Marquez at 140. There's Berto at 147. There's the Bradley-Alexander winner.

    No excuse for this nonsense:bart

Arum won't even let Pac back in the ring with JMM, what makes you think he'd EVER let Pac fight Floyd?

Signing to fight Mosley destroys all credibility from Pacquiao, Pac's fan's, and most of all Bob Arum (even though he had none to begin with)

The stupid excuses and history revision by both sides in this short thread is amazing. Floyd fans are still in denial that their hero straight up chicken-**** ran from Pac, and now Pac fans sound just like Floyd fans in trying to defend this horrible matchup.

Floyd fans, your boy is scared.
Pac fans, your boy has sold out, and in doing so has made you start acting like Floyd fans. He don't care about you, or his legacy. He cares about his pocketbook and campaign funding. There are fights out there that, if he won them, would have cemented his name into the GOAT debate. Instead he chose an easy opponent for a big paycheck and an easy win. Just like Floyd always did.

This idea that a fight with Berto wouldn't sell is the biggest bunch of crap I've ever heard. Pac is selling the fight anyway. Not his opponent. And Berto, just by having his name on the posters and marquees alongside Pac would become a household name, who incidentally, is also an undefeated world champion. Don't tell me that wouldn't sell.

Yes, Pacs done it all and the only fight that matters for his legacy is the fight with Floyd. If Floyd wont talk, he can fight Barrera for a third time for all I care. Pac just want money now hes 33, if its not Floyd, he'll find the easiest way to make it and he deserves it, Hes fought them all JMM, MAB, Erik, Cotto, Hatton, Oscar. His legacys secure.

100 million dollars. Mosley/JMM is a toss up money wise. Both easy fights and JMM easier at 147. At least Shane has a punchers chance.
This is why Floyd should call out Pac now and bury him in this mess. I wouldnt let the midget make an easy 20Million
