I don't understand why Hopkins wants Calzaghe do badly.

He put Calzaghe down in the first round and didn't follow it up.

Then he watched in ringside when Jones put Calzaghe down and would have been thinking '**** Roy... go after him! You may only get one chance'. It's easier looking in from the outside and I'm convinced Hopkins saw that Calzaghe was there for the taking. Joe looked very wobbly in that RJJ fight but neither tried to follow it up. Hopkins thinks he made a mistake, I'm convinced of it.

Stopping Calzaghe would be huge for Hopkins.

You're in for a BIG shock if the fight happens. Bernard Hopkins will get justice this time. He will win.

Hopkins will sneak in a few shots he knows he can tie him up 98% of the time....will be a very boring fight....but, it will go into the record book
as a win for Hopkins and in his mind a win over a "white Boy"

I hope it doesn't happen....if it does....hope Hopkins ends up belly up.

Nah. He can't win, not in Wales. There is no realistic way for him to pull out a win. You always tell me how Hopkins "exposed" him but didn't have the stamina to pull it off, that being the case nothing changes second time.

You might score it for him again, but the judges won't.

I agree. I thought Hopkins' gameplan was perfect. It's just the relentless pace and pressure Calzaghe set wore him out. You could tell that Hopkins' accuracy and timing in his punches suffered as the fight wore on. If he had the stamina, he would've probably won.

And yeah, i think that dominating win over Pavlik has deluded him somewhat. He has to realize that Calzaghe is a completely different monster.

I don't think he'll fight Calzaghe like he fought Pavlik.

I think he'd fight the same way and hope to catch Joe on the way in again, like the reckless way he got decked in Vegas. He thinks Joe is vulnerable to being dropped. I reckon he's thinking he can send him to the canvas again. Only this time, he'd try everything to finish him.

It's difficult to imagine but not impossible.

    At least, in Hopkins mind.

    Where did you go?

You must have me confused with someone else because I'm a Calzaghe fan. By default, I cannot be considered a good poster.
