You can't really go by GGG's breathing. The guy breathes very heavily after the first round. Plus he's 36.

I knew what you meant as I felt the same way. You could see Golovkin at various points shying away from Canelo's body shots and breathing hard in the corner. Though I never saw Golovkin about to be KO'd, the aforementioned circumstances often lead to stoppages late in the fight. I'm sure that was Canelo's plan. He just didn't get it done.

I thought Golovkin's jab gave him the edge in the fight I had it (115-113 GGG), but the counter to that argument is Canelo's body attack.

As far as GGG's missing body attack, he must have been worried about getting countered.

 

Reminds me of one of those old guys or has been who likes talking it up and you see them throw hands looking slow and hilarious you just say shuddap old man and sit ya azz down.

 

I thought it was a big drama show put on by both fighters.

It was a great fight, much better than their first imo.
