And then dropped on the seat of his pants with a textbook 1-2-3-4 combination against the ropes, struggling to get up, with his knees bent and wobbling at the count of nine, trying to push himself up and the ref waving his arms overhead emphatically.

Then I woke up, disappointed by the realization that I have to wait awhile for this to come to pass (maybe not exactly the way I envisioned it, but close enough).

Yes, from my literal dream. Your humor falls flat because I was speaking literally of an actual dream and literally waking up. Sorry. If this were me speaking hopefully of how I "dream" of such an outcome, and you made this post, it would have a shot at being funny. As it is, the fact that it was literal renders any such response flat and humorless.

 

Well, your post appeared to have had a sarcastic tone to it, especially with the emoticon posted - which assumption is no great leap on my part with you being a known Peter hugger (or at the very least, Wlad hater).

What other reason would there be for such a post other than to suggest that I was in a figurative "dream" state (as in, removed from reality) - which, as I said before, does not really succeed as humor when the events described are literal?

Who knows what my subconscious could cook up next - Augustus' brutal KO of Hatton? A post-apocalyptic world ruled by crocodiles? The entire cast of Melrose Place naked and in various states of dissection on metal surgical tables?

What we dream is not necessarily what we want to see - rarely is it, in fact. This morning was an exception.

 

Did I masturbate to Klitschko? Are you implying that because both events appear in the chronology of my day, that they are connected? Did having that dream also cause me to not bother grooming myself? Did it cause me to pour a bowl of cereal?
