Thanks! I could have swore Floyd had anther fight that would be n the top 10. Ricky vs Floyd did some good numbers right? I know combined with UK PPV buys but still. Are these just US PPV numbers? Considering Manny only being int he states 8 yrs or so...having 2 top 10 PPV records says A LOT as a NON AMERICAN fighter.

Not for nothing, but if PBF did not fight Oscar as his opponent, he would not be in the list Toontoon posted. PBF vs Pac will most definitely be a top five or maybe number one on this list.

I figured the PPV would do about 1.5 to 2 million buys.

True.....but at the end of the day DLH needed a dance partner and Floyd did his job in helping to promote the fight beyond him being the P4P #1 fighter at the time. I think the fight was a perfect combination at the perfect time to break all PPV records.

Just America I presume, Mayweather vs Hatton done 925,000 I think which at the time was the largest ppv not to include DLH, Tyson or Holyfield.

Floyd's PPV drawing power has suffered because people were pissed off he was too cautious in so many of his fights(how the **** did he not knock JMM out?) and a lingering disappointment with his nonchalant attitude towards "legacy" fights.

However after his more aggressive showing against Mosley, if he agrees to fight Pac, people should flock to this PPV.

I don't think Pacquiao would have been in there if he didn't fight De La Hoya too tbf.

Both have shot up in the popularity stakes after fighting him.

I was expecting 1.5 so it pretty much did what I thought it would do. 1.2 is pretty good.

I thought for sure it would be around 1.5 - 2 million , guess Mayweather is not the PPV king that he believes himself to be .

Correct. PBF is not a stupid individual. He is also a businessman.

The goldenboy. Agree on both sentences. Wish Oscar was a little younger and still fighting, but then we could wish many other fighters were still around at a prime fighting age. Hearns, SRL, Duran, Curry, Benitez, etc.

Well, lets get ready for the Williams vs Cintron fight. I am going with Williams with a right hand and Cintron quiting on the stool saying it was a headbutt. Good luck to both.
