interesting thought, but i think the $$$ factor will reign in the end.
we turn a blind eye to the sale of cigarettes and booze (and gambling) for no other reason than the $$$ profit, then advertise against them as if some kind of moral high ground is being reached.
there's a lot of money to be made in addictions of all kinds.

Unfortunately the fight game’s always been corrupt, but at least in times gone by generally speaking the big fights happened.

Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez, Shakur Stevenson, Ryan Garcia, Keyshawn Davis in the lighter weight classes. Jared Anderson at heavy.

Fernado Vargas' son Emiliano Vargas looks like he could be the new Mayweather JR and he's a 16 year old amateur. Plenty of talent coming up.

    1. Thats not true.
    2. Heavyweights get paid more
    3. Currency is worth a lot less now than it was in the 80s. Their paydays by todays standards would be massive if inflation is taken into account.

Leonard made $11 million for his first fight with Hearns, while Hearns made $8 million. For their rematch, Leonard was guaranteed $13 Million and Hearns was guaranteed $11 million.

Are you telling me Whyte and Chisora made 10 times that for fighting each other?

Which one received $130 million for the rematch, and which one received $110 million?
